Take My Breath didn't perform as good as they expected, they stopped promo, he was removed from Global Citizen Festival. He probably planned to come back with new music this or next month and maybe release new album but then Adele came. She will be at #1 on Billboard charts for few weeks and then we will have Christmas. so I guess he will release next single in 2022 short before album release. but he promised collabs this fall so I think Swedish House Mafia x The Weeknd is coming soon.
