Y’all okay I’m pretty sure I have covid right now so I’m not going to see it for a while…. That being said, I’ve been following all leaks regarding this movie since before it was even announced in 2019. Like I want some spoilers but not all of them, you know?

so to anyone who’s seen the movie, please I’ll love you forever if you answer these questions in the first spoiler tag for me

  Reveal hidden contents

- is Samantha actually Billy Loomis’ daughter? :oprah:

- Amber is one of the killers, right? The last act happens at her house, so she’s the only one who would know the ins and outs of the house like Stu did in the first movie…. Right? Not to mention everything is kept entirely the same as it was back then…. Which isn’t creepy at all  so yeah she’s one of the killers, right?

- Does Dewey die? :bradley: I’ve already accepted his death because Sam doesn’t say “you want me to help you, a retired sheriff, and the host of a morning show commit murder?” She leaves him out and then there’s this image from promo

maxresdefault.jpg

- Does Randy’s sister make a cameo?

THESE ARE MY THEORIES IF ANY OF THESE HAPPENED IN THE MOVIE PLEASE DON’T TELL ME THIS IS WHAT I DON’T WANT SPOILED THANK YOU

  Reveal hidden contents

- I'm pretty sure Ritchie is the other killer but I wanna be surprised when I see his reveal

- there’s a third killer who’s working solo without the help of Amber and Ritchie

- Gale sacrifices her life for Sydney :bradley:

Spoiler

- is Samantha actually Billy Loomis’ daughter? Yes

- Amber is one of the killers, right? Yes

- Does Dewey die? Yes

Spoiler

PLEASE DON’T TELL ME THIS IS WHAT I DON’T WANT SPOILED

but just in case, the knowledge is here, one click away, can you fight the urge?

Spoiler

- I'm pretty sure Ritchie is the other killer but I wanna be surprised when I see his reveal :ohwell::oops:

Spoiler

Not much surprised cos when you see the movie, you'll notice he always seems so shady and comes out of nowhere lmao

- there’s a third killer who’s working solo without the help of Amber and Ritchie :partysick::laughga:

- Gale sacrifices her life for Sydney :huntyga::ladyhaha:

I just saw it and WOW, super impressed :applause: I'm very critical of modern horror and this was excellent. So much self-referencing, smart dialogue, great actors.

My main criticism is, once again, of one the killers could literally no have been.

Spoiler

Their body frame doesn't match Ghostface...like she's literally 5'5 or shorter ...

But other than that, very solid film!

I saw Scream this afternoon. I am a huge Scream fan. My personal ranking of the series is Scream 1, 4, 2, 3, 5.

As much as I wanted to like this film…something was missing. And that was Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson.

Beside the legacy characters, I had a hard time remembering and caring for the new characters. And when it came to the killers, one was predictable and the other I forgot was a character.

The way the trailers and cast interviews hyped the film as a big shock and twist was coming…the shock I left with when I left the theater was disappointment. 😑

Yeah idk, I'm a die hard fan and saw each movie (besides 4) in the theater. I just couldn't connect with #4. And the killer reveal, COME ON. The killer's body is SO much smaller than Ghostface throughout the whole movie lol. And I love the actor who played the killer, but it was a little "Jumped the shark" for me. It felt more like a parody of "Scream" like "Scary Movie" or something.

The 3rd one perfectly tied all the films together and is my personal fave.

But I respect your opinion

I love Scream 4! I think I like it so much is that it was the first Scream film I was old enough to see in theaters. Any film/Tv show with Madison Montgomery in it, excuse me, Emma Roberts…I tend to like.

The reasons you disliked Scream 5 is why I despise Scream 4 :bear: it was just so cringe. I love Emma but her monologue at the end :laughga:

I would rank the films 1, 5, 3, 2, 4.

This one was exactly what I would envision for Scream in 2022. Loved all the horror references and tons of self referencing and humor!

Give it some time. Let it simmer. Also, Kevin was involved every step of the way. He was the executive producer. He was on set constantly.

No hard feelings!!! ❤️ Maybe I should give the film a second watch!

Maybe I am too old school “Scream” and thought it would blow my mind! Maybe I thought it would be more clever…I might have over hyped it in my mind. I am one of those fans that thought “Stu” would be back. I just went in with a long of “maybes”. That may have been the problem I had with the film. :cryga:

I love Scream 4 because it came out in such a great time in my life! First Scream I saw in theaters, it had so many memories! The Stab movie fake outs in the beginning was so clever and unpredictable in an age when the internet was in its prime and no spoilers. I just related more to the 2011 cast.

I am a millennial…could I ask of your generation status? That may be the difference. :bear:

It wasn’t as bad to make me not by it on Blu-Ray. Cause imma still give it my coins. Just not what I thought it would be for a Scream film in 2022. And I am low key still made that “Gold” Ghostface with the flame thrower wasn’t cannon in the film.

Girl I'm a millennial, but I'm an OLD millennial :lolly: I'm 32

I saw the original Scream in theaters (yes, when I was 7 :billie:) and also the 2nd and 3rd films. The 4th came out in my early 20s and I watched it on Netflix I think. I really just couldn't connect to it.

I am so jealous you saw the original trilogy in theaters gurl! I’m the same age. My parents wouldn’t allow me to see Scream 1996 in theaters, but they took me to see Titanic on the big screen (which had a booby shot). The audacity! 😂

Honestly it was so wild because I'm pretty sure we went opening night every time and seeing those movies in packed theaters and experiencing everything with so many others is part of the iconic-ness :bradley:

But also being exposed to the violence and adult themes at such a young age has probably messed me up for life :vegas:

I sneaked out with my circle to see Scream back then :giggle:

One of them had older sibling who always helped us with that kinda stuffs. Then we do something else in his favor to pay it back  :giggle:
