alsemanche 92,272
#9 – The Man with the Axe: 6.91 Lowest Score: 3 - @Zed Highest Score: 9.5 - @Mars @Sneaky Comments: Spoiler like fallen fruit, this sits heavy in comparison to the other songs. Structurally, i found it confusing which makes it less memorable in my head, but there are some standout lyrics. i didn’t like this one at first but OMG is it amazing. it’s very lana but i think it’s a beautiful song Again, I almost fell asleep on the highway and what nerve Lorde has to be this soothing. Adore the end on this one, the guitar and the soundscapes created here are really cool. Such a vibe. Strange dissonance that works impeccably. Unique, beautiful, ominous. Love the atmospheric, 70s folk sound. Aahh... I wish someone would love me.... I just don't think it's my cup of tea however it's well produced and made Too slow and not pretty enough. The lyrical content is great tho. is it just me or does she sound exactly like Lana in the end Second-best ballad on the album after Big Star. Easy 10. The most unique and 'darker' song on the album i originally ranked this higher but meh Nice guitars but really boring Soft, soothing, and succulent
