That "we don't talk to the help" comment really isn't a joke. Nicki's made her disdain for people lower down the ladder to her known for a long time. I've never forgotten that documentary footage from early in her career when she said that she walked out on a photoshoot because their budget was too low and they had poor catering options. But she acted like she was justified in doing that because she'd put so much energy into her art and expects it back and that "next time, they know better" and acted like this was another case where a woman is painted as unreasonable for being assertive. No, anyone, male or female is out of line by acting like that and your music isn't connected to a photoshoot anyway, it's just about exposure. It's clear she sees anyone who she deems beneath her as people who should serve her and don't deserve respect. If she had this outrageous attitude back then when she was only just starting to get major hits, can you imagine what she's like now?
