Everytime I listen to the 911 Charli XCX and AG Cook remix I think about how it sounds like a different song. Almost like it should be renamed to Cry or something and be ft. Lady Gaga  not that that’s a bad thing, just crazy how Charli and AG Cook made a whole new song with it.

I think that about a lot of the remixes. They're more like the artists' songs that sample Chromatica songs

As far as we know she was supposed to make a 911 remix back when the music video was released so she probably worked on it for the “normal” remixes they released back then but Bloodpop didn’t answer to her DMs. 

That’s when they got in contact again. Bloodpop suggested the remix album and started getting collaborators. We still don’t know if that’s the same remix she had back then and finished or she started from scratch to fit the “Dawn of Chromatica” sound.

I love Charlis 2nd verse on the song and the first drop with Gagas chorus, it's an entire rollercoaster of a song, it makes me love 911 even more

Btw, Judas (Hurts Remix) is an all-time favorite of mine. At the time, it changed my mind on what a remix could be.

Hopefully you’re not talking about me, I know what a remix is.  all I’m saying is that Charli is essentially using Gaga’s song as a sample similar to Make Her Say. When has a Gaga remix ever been an artist taking Gaga’s song, singing not only one of Gaga’s verses but also adding their own bridge and intro, while also changing the instrumental.

Not talking about you particularly but I have seen many similar comments. I think the remix is quite reminiscent of the original track, it kinda carries the same essence of the song, despite having a different instrumental. Charli lines in the intro are totally something Gaga would have written herself, it even reminds me of PD lyrics a bit

Not really. Charli's Verse 1 referenced FUN TONIGHT (I look through the mirror / the girl in the mirror) and 🙂

ALICE (I look out to Venus And search for a place / I'll keep looking for Wonderland)

Charli's Verse 3 referenced RAIN ON ME (When I cry like I'm a waterfall And pour it out like alcohol / It's coming down on me Water like misery - Gaga said it's a metaphor for alcohol) and 

1000 DOVES (Would you raise your hands and catch it all? / When your tears are falling, I'll catch them as they fall) and

FUN TONIGHT (When my blood is filled with cortisol And I'm feeling like I'm flammable / I'd do anything to numb the flame I guess I'm just on fire these days) and

(Lately I'm feelin' so blue I know you're feelin' it too / I'm feelin' the way that I'm feelin', I'm feelin' with you I'm not havin' fun tonight)

It's quite clever and well done. 🙂
