People were genuinely excited for this version of the song, probably more so than the remixes since this is something that came from Gaga while she was working on the album whereas the remixes she had no hand in, and it sounds genuinely good... They've been waiting for this for a very long time too - you'd think they'd have the time to really polish it, but instead it just seems like they took things out and made the song more bare...

So it's kind of disingenuous to get upset with fans who aren't happy with the result and expressed it respectfully, and call them all terrible, entitled or saying they weren't specific enough - most people don't know where this snippet is from, but I'm sure if you asked them, that clip is what they'd point to... As for entitlement - there is a difference between demanding something and expressing disappointment - the latter is not entitlement... 

I also think people dragging fans for being upset probably don't care much about the song in the first place, and if this happened to a song they cared about, the tune would be VERY different, but I guess everyone needs to enjoy the high horse once in a while 

Anyway, he really should take the song off - he's right, it doesn't fit the album at all, and besides, it's on the internet now, so it doesn't matter anymore

Y’all really hyped to the heavens a chunky 20 second snippet and expected the song of the millenium. I'll have to agree with this. While it is interesting to hear the evolution of a song through time, at the end of the day, it's the artist's decision. Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but they should stop acting like they know better than the ****ing artist.
