Ok, that's fair. It's a job.

Maybe what would be up for conversation is the actual pertinence and implications of p*rn on our society.

Maybe an interesting topic for another day :awesome:

I fail to see what's wrong with it. Of course there are arguments to be made about it being kind of patriarchal, for example, but counterarguments exist, and there are a lot of companies that strive to create a more inclusive p*rn industry. People shouldn't be afraid of showing off their bodies, being proud of them, or entertaining themselves by exploring them. It's only natural to do so, and p*rn is an extension of that. I think denying the importance of p*rn is kind of like denying the importance and necessity for sex, and that is denying people another way of liberating themselves, so to speak. A society that is afraid of sex is a society that is also afraid to speak up in a whole myriad of other issues.

By that logic, music is not a necessity so making music is not a real job, neither is movie making, or any form of entertainment. The same goes to so many jobs that aren't "necessary". P*rn provides erotic entertainment for people. Whether you want to consume it or not is your choice. And anything can cause an addiction, be it a movie, a restaurant's food, a game, literally anything. You don't ban something because it might possibly cause a long term dependency for some people.

And p*rn is literally erotic films :poot: among other erotic things ofc

I wasn't referring to erotic films, that was my point. They belong to the art field. Music and entertainment belong to that field as well. We depend on them.

As for p*rn, we don't really depend on it. It may be a job, but an unnecessary one. No one needs it to survive. Sex, on the other hand, is the actual natural need.

REALITY

I don't even use OnlyFans or subscribe to anyone there, but this is actually infuritating from a business perspective. They're literally going to kill their company for no reason

The way that they think this is going to "ensure long-term sustainability" of their platform is hilarious. This is going to do the exact opposite. The main reason people go on OnlyFans is because of sexually explicit content. This is going to tank their business.

They don't have much of a choice though. Ad revenue can really make or break a company. It's sad but that's capitalism for you :poot:

Only fans has turned homophobic, also do they realize this will be the end of their company, i honestly don't know who uses OF for other things. Even Austin Mahone is 2 steps away from putting his d out there.

I fail to understand how you're differentiating them. No one needs music and entertainment to survive; we do not "depend" on them as living beings. P*rn is entertainment; it's just a different kind of entertainment. If you're going to say that erotic films, music, art, movies, etc. all belong into one category, p*rn should belong there as well. Just because you jerk off to one thing and not the other doesn't devalue it.

You can survive without music and movies. They're not essential to the survival of human kind.

And who said every said has to be a necessary one that we depend on? Should I also go tell the person who does hand embroidery that decorates homes that their job is unnecessary and not a real job? No because it's a job that they depend on, just like a p*rn actor depends on that acting job, or that adult entertainer depends of that entertainment job.

N a t h a n

It's not going away, they're creating a sister site that won't allow sexually explicit materials.... The original onlyfans will still exist.

This is snowballing. From Tumblr to the sterilization of places like xtube and ****hub. It almost feels like big **** studios are trying to push out all of the amateurs, because at the end of the day they are the ones who benefit from these moves.

And if any of this is linked to child abuse, why is it so hard for these platforms and authorities to target and locate users who break the law? Why do they have to completely carpet bomb all amateur ****? Instead of revealing child abusers, they are pushing them back into the shadows.
