Confirmed: OnlyFans to Block Sexually Explicit Videos Starting in October

OnlyFans is getting out of the ****ography business.

The company will prohibit users from posting any sexually explicit conduct, starting in October. Creators will still be allowed to post nude photos and videos, provided they’re consistent with OnlyFans’ policy, the company said Thursday.

The changes are needed because of mounting pressure from banking partners and payment providers, according to the company.

“In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform, and the continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,” OnlyFans said.

OnlyFans has attracted more than 130 million users by giving online creators a platform to charge their fans for photos and videos. Many of its most-popular creators post nude photos and videos, and it has been praised for giving sex workers a safer place to do their jobs.

I feel terrible for the people who use onlyfans as a means of income, a lot of people's livelihoods rely on what they make from posting on there, I wish them the best and hope that they're able to find a better source of income and stay safe after this all goes down 

 

Edit: To all of those reacting with 'LMAO' there is absolutely nothing funny about this, people will be losing their only source of income and will not be able to pay their bills, rent or be able to take care of themselves or whomever else they may take care of, you may not think this is a real job however when you watch adult content the people on screen are actors and are paid to put on a show for you to enjoy, treat these people with respect. You wouldn't like it if someone laughed at you after you unfairly lost your job and the only thing that you were able to survive on, we are in dire times and a lot of people are just barely making it by and you have the audacity to laugh.

This is so f*cked tbh. So many people's livelihood has been dependent on this platform, especially after COVID wrecked so many people's jobs and left them without income. I hope they find another platform and ditch Onlyfans for good.
