Paper Gangsta is the ultimate story from The Fame IMO, it’s by far the most autobiographical song. I was supposed to - as long as I had an adult with me - but no one would go with me. She’ll never come back here to my city again, I guarantee it. March 26th will always be a traumatic day for me. My best friend and I went to SF Pride in 2008 where this “Lady GooGoo” was to perform. She was the last act of the day and my friend was dancing in his hip hop dance group in a different stage at the same time. The second to last act was Kat Deluna, who had a few hits and was definitely a bigger artist that Gaga at that point. The announcer kept saying “you don’t want to miss this next artist. My friend and I decided to leave the main stage after Kat Deluna to go see my friend dance. We joked about the idea if we actually do start to like this Lady GaGa chic sometime down the line.
