But if you can’t look at the past year in particular, and then generally remember the repercussions of whites being the majority for this long, then I don’t care to explain.

First of all the issue is never the number of ppl of a background in itself. Almost every Nation has premominant ethnicities thats normal. The issue is more the systemic inequalities and power system. Theres Nations in Africa where whites are a minority yet still hold a disproportionate amount of power. So diversity is good but in ur line of reasoning the total number of a population its not whats gonna necessairily change that

 

Secondly what i didnt like about ur response is ppl who think everyone else is so uneducated are also the ones always giving useless responses like that.

 

To me its the kind of thing that proves some individuals are more concerned with appearing woke and morally superior than actually hoping others become more enlightned. Cuz if u can quote others to rub in how stupid u think they are but dont bother to tell them why it kinda shows what u actually truly care about deep down

I agree it helps tho. As i said to the user above tho, its not what ultimately ends disparities tho. Social values, ethics and awareness id say are even more important than whether white ppl make up 60% of population or 40%

I appreciate your take on it, but I have to disagree. I saw it as saying, “well what’s the problem with whites as a majority?” when the problem is incredibly open and evident. Reverse racism teas. I could be wrong with my take on their post, but the standard on this site is absolutely Caucasian and willfully ignorant.

Your point makes no sense. Racial inequality, racism, police brutality, etc. all still happen in cities where a large percent of people aren’t white. Like Economy said, take a look at African countries where white people still have power despite being the minority. An America with less white people isn’t going to solve our racial problems. A lot of signs (including the census) point to a “multiracial” America, which means we’ll probably end up like a Latino country anyway. It may not be who’s “white is in charge” but it’ll be who’s “whitest is in charge”. There’s nothing to really celebrate about that.

Yeah, Idk about the definition either tbh. I'm mixed, half white and half very ethnic hispanic (my mom's side is all dark skinned people). But FL still puts me down as "white/non-hispanic" on my voter and other info no matter how many times I try to correct it  but then idk if being half white just makes you white in the law's eyes. I can never get a straight answer from any official.

OT: Fewer whites, boomers are starting to "go away", education is hopefully going to be more accessible before long...damn, the Republicans are really getting a one-two-three punch here

Africa =/= the US

White people have been an established majority here for hundreds of years and direct oppressors for about as long.

As our demographics change and the "playing field" starts to even out (both as the general ethnicity of the US changes and as positions of authority are filled with both POC and white people), you'll see the scars of that oppression diminish and heal.

That's why this is something to celebrate
