Normani didn't understand the cultural impact of Motivation

The Motivation video was legendary. American musicians rarely produce music videos of that caliber anymore. They never do it in their debut. Girl is dripping in talent.

I mean... I love Motivation but the video is just recycled Beyoncé, if you ask me :reductive:

Either way, this is bad. Like, did her team not prep her before any interviews? Did she not ask beforehand? Cos, trust and believe all professional artists and management does that.

All these different stuffs she said just look bad for her and her team. It is as if her team doesn't care about her, although it might not be true.

But if this is how she wanted to backtrack, it is also not a good way to do it.

Motivation never got its time to shine, definitely would‘ve been more impactful if RCA actually believed as much in it as the people who love Normani. Hopefully it‘ll become a classic in that sense. I mean, by the reactions - yall seem to know the Song and talk about it two years later. So she‘s not that wrong.
