jacs vs looser 3,972
Top 5 for sure, maybe even top 3; But not the best when Joanne exists.
COOOK 76,406
My top 3 off Joanne changes over time, but Sinner's Prayer is always among them

GagaSine 7,464
I love Sinner's Prayer, it has a very cinematic quality to it and it always puts me in a certain mood as soon as I hear the opening of the song. Totally don't get the hate, I generally really dislike country music but this song just sounds cool, the country quality to it (which is really more like old western movie scores) does not put me off at all. And the lyrics/storytelling is lovely too.
SevenWonder 4,007
As others have said, Diamond Heart is the best song on the album. For me, anyway. I like Sinner's Prayer, but I hardly ever play it anymore. Diamond Heart, Joanne, Perfect Illusion are the songs on my regular rotation from the album
BlondeQueenOfGGD 25,454
It’s odd how so many people love it now, when in 2016 so many people hated it. I think it’s one of the best but not the best
Doily Skull 260
I lament on a daily basis that Sinner’s Prayer has such a gorgeous folk vibe to it but it is literally the ONE SONG out Gaga’s discography that is out of my vocal range. ~staying stupid through my holy days~

This is my favorite song from the album along with the title track. I'd put Sinner's Prayer tied with Hey Girl at my personal seconds. They're both criminally underrated. Sinner's Prayer is my grandpa's favorite Gaga song though. It's my ringtone on his phone I'm just like 🧍♂️

The songs is about her breaking off engagements. The first verse seems to be pretty much literally about the moment she decided to break up with Taylor. I believe daddy's feast is referring to Easter dinner, as they split up around that time. "He has a funny way of saying forever too fast" implies he was insisting on marriage when she didn't feel like that was their path. Love the Lady (Gaga) and the tramp reference too. "Can't blame a tramp for something he don't have". The second verse she says "I've got a baby sister who looks just like me" This doesn't mean it's about Natali, instead Gaga is singing about her younger self and her relationship with Lüc. I actually love the storytelling a lot and the fact this songs has a proper chorus unlike many of her later songs. Her deep voice also works so well with the guitars. It really is my favourite song of off Joanne. It's takes like this that made me join GGD in the first place. We love to see it. I'm just like 🧍♂️
BARKDANGER 855
Sinners Prayer is an Ok song. Not my favorite. Not even in my top 5 on Joanne. Perfect Illusion is the best song on Joanne even though it really doesn’t fit the vibe of Joanne. My tops are Perfect Illusion, Ayo, Joanne (Piano Version), Diamond Heart and John Wayne. “I’m on the edge of glory…”
