I know Miss Joanne is divisive AF around these parts, but the album holds a very special place in my heart, and from the moment it was released Sinner's Prayer stood out to me and continues too. I love the lyrics, the production, her raw vocals. It just epitomizes the Joanne era for me.

What do other Little Monsters think of this underrated deep cut?

Tehe. Jokes aside, SP is what I thought best represented Joanne’s aim, sound, lyrics, etc. I love it. Takes me out west to the Rockies

No :ally: The country-esque storytelling seems so nonlinear and disparate that the song feels meaningless to me lol maybe there's a deeper meaning but it doesn't rly matter cuz I just don't vibe with it :ally:

I think tracks Joanne thru million reasons are the redeeming songs on Joanne

Given Sinner's Prayer a listen just now but I'm afraid I still have to agree with this.

Should've been the lead single, xox

Would've made a much larger impact

The lead single that got away.

also I think Just Another Day is one her best songs.

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

If I have to chose my favorite songs on the album it would be in my top 5, but I feel like it’s the best in terms of lyrics

Not a deeper meaning as such, but the lyrics are a bit more complex than they seem is my suspicion. The songs is about her breaking off engagements.

The first verse seems to be pretty much literally about the moment she decided to break up with Taylor. I believe daddy's feast is referring to Easter dinner, as they split up around that time. "He has a funny way of saying forever too fast" implies he was insisting on marriage when she didn't feel like that was their path. Love the Lady (Gaga) and the tramp reference too. "Can't blame a tramp for something he don't have".

The second verse she says "I've got a baby sister who looks just like me" This doesn't mean it's about Natali, instead Gaga is singing about her younger self and her relationship with Lüc.

I actually love the storytelling a lot and the fact this songs has a proper chorus unlike many of her later songs. Her deep voice also works so well with the guitars.

It really is my favourite song of off Joanne.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

Perfect Illusion, Diamond Heart and Sinner's Prayer are the top three tracks for me. But I like Perfect Illusion and Diamond Heart a little more than Sinner's Prayer.
