Wait hang on, so Halsey goes by she and they, but the article misgendered Halsey for saying her? Now I’m confused  

are you meant to alternate between she and they when talking about her? Idgi, I would understand if Halsey only had they as a pronoun, but if they’re fine with both then what’s the problem with using one of them?

In my mind, it’s like Jeffree Star having he/she/they and “alien” as pronouns (Jeffree did include alien in a video, I wasn’t being hateful or anything ), but then getting annoyed if people only refer to him as him...?

Halsey isn't nb, she said that in an interview:

"I don't identify as nonbinary or gender-fluid. I don't personally feel like I'm at the point in my life where I'm prepared to identify that way. Will that change? Possibly. I don't know. But I've never felt any reason to change the way that I refer to my gender identity."
