A man received a ‘racial hatred' police record, after whistling the Bob the Builder theme tune at a neighbour.

Police in Bedfordshire recorded the interaction as a non-crime hate incident, which will remain on their file for six years. The record could be disclosed to potential employers, impacting the man’s chances of getting a new job.

Details about the Bedfordshire whistling case are not known, but it is just one of a number of unusual hate incident reports by police.

Anyway, is Express a reputable news website? Cuz this reads like it's either made up or a lot of context is missing - last time I checked, UK police was not great at protecting marginalized groups :vegas:

Ok, so I looked into this and they did pull this from the Daily Mail - this was posted on there first... And apparently there is some controversy with the FairCop group - haven't found exactly what they did/said, but it's interesting how on their (pretty short) about page, they mention this :huntyga:

"If you’ve been contacted by the police for expressing criticism of transgender activism or if you agree with us that the authorities should follow the law of the land, get in touch and find out how you can help ensure that policing is fair for us all."
