-June 21st, 2013: The Lead Single

-During the 2013 Summer Solstice, Lady Gaga releases Sexxx Dreams (feat. Rihanna). The song would be a mix between R&B and Caribbean music (ala Joanne’s DIC) with small tropical EDM influences. The music video would be simultaneously dropped with a good vs evil bisexual moment. Lady Gaga & Rihanna would perform in gay bars (like G-A-Y London) along with a surprise set at Lollapalooza and later Roscoe’s (a Chicago gay can dream)

 

-August 23rd, 2013: The VMAs

Lady Gaga performs a snippet of Venus (ala X Factor UK with the guitar). The lights go bright to reveal a beautiful temple-esquejé stage on the plenary of Venus. X Dreams begins to play. Rihanna descends from the sky in silk during her part.

 

-August 23rd, 2013: The Promo Single

Immediately after her performance, Lady Gaga releases Venus as a promotional single. Venus’ productions relies on the same synths but incorporates, more robotic vocals and real instrumentals. She sticks to completely bleach blonde excessively long hair and bleached eyebrows look with scorpion inspired outfits/accessories. S. Klein and I&V collaborate together for the photo shoots and promos of the era (IE magazines, Spotify backgrounds, etc.) A musics video () is released depicting Lady Gaga being birthed from an oyster before becoming a prominent figure in Greece.

Aura as the lead single of the album (with the demo vocals) and the video would be a follow-up to Telephone, then Venus would be the second single and MANiCURE the third. Gypsy is the fourth and final single of the album. ALL OF THEM WITH COLORFUL AND AMBITIOUS MUSIC VIDEOS.

Then focus on the ARTPOP app, with a lot of extra content for the fans to have a more immersive experience with the project, and where they could create their own remixes of the songs. 

And release ARTPOP Act II one year later, and a special edition including the two acts together in a double CD jewel case, with a big-ass booklet and a limited edition coming with a giant ARTPOP poster. 

And overall, i would focus more on the visuals and imagery of the project.

Focus more on the art side rather than the edm side More experimental sound and a bit more rough live shows (like the iconic Swine performance) just showing her weird side without excess glamour and radio friendliness. Maybe do some performance art events and just go crazy with the visuals.

Remove any featured artists with past scandals/controversies (e.g that beautiful song featuring that guy who can't control his bladder)

Have a more specific and cohesive theme rather than a vague concoction of Greek mythologies and high art.

Aura to have a music video as a gift to fans (Telephone sequel)

Sexxx Dreams and MANiCURE as singles while Gypsy as the last single with a bittersweet video.

If anything else fails, Have a documentary to end the era to explain what happened.

I wouldn’t change anything about the music, just the era.

Don’t release Applause the same week as Katy and release DWUW with any non rapist as a feature and of course no last minute switch, release it as a radio single from the beginning.

The “she’s over” narrative wouldn’t have been as strong if she hadn’t released the same week as Katy, and no DWUW drama would’ve meant she probably would’ve released the video, giving it way more longevity, maintaining the momentum through the album release and allowing the era to keep going.

G.U.Y. could’ve been released in late 2013/early 2014 with the same video but this time it would have a fighting chance. Finish the era with Gypsy before the tour starts.

I believe ARTPOP was gonna be an underperformance no matter what, but she and her team could’ve done a lot of things different to soften the blow.

Venus would have been the 2nd single with the original Ruth video idea which would start a new trilogy within the ARTPOP era 

G.U.Y. would have been a sequel to Venus and video relatively the same 

Sexxx Dream would have been the 4th single and her most steamy video to date 

Applause would have been the last single to close the era before a small teaser at the end of the music video for...

ARTPOP ACT II: Encore! 

In the ACT II era, TEA would have been the lead single...any other singles are unknown cuz we haven't head them lol...yet! 

The ARTPOP APP would have been released with an early access code provided only within purchases of the album (physical or digital) for a 1-time activation. The details of the app would remain...make gifs, play the album, create your own aura, chat with fans, design sculptures that can be delivered to you, ARTPOP magazine, remix ARTPOP songs using stems, etc 

The tour would have had a higher budget instead of making the stage a kids inflatable bouncy house...

I would have elevated the concept a little more. The ARTPOP we got felt messy. I would have kept the Ancient Greek/Roman mythology and Renaissance aesthetics but made it more refined, more glamorous, and less campy. A visual like this would have been perfect to start the era off with, especially considering the last thing the GP saw was Gaga's head on a motorbike.

So yeah this is what I would've done, idk if it would've worked.

The concept would be like a Rave in Heaven, with some Ethereal/Greek elements, but also neon and futuristic. I would also play around with the ARTPOP aesthetic as well, with more Warholian energy and campiness.
