See I said gaga could have done the concert in the U.K. but I guess it’s a couple of days out in London .I will be honest people will say it’s to early but I for one don’t want to live like this for another 12 months ..

Because you have the potential to spread it to individuals who medically cannot take the vaccine. The only way COVID will be safe for everyone is when we reach heard immunity.

Usually heard immunity is considered to have been achieved around 93-95% of the global population being vaccinated. Per country, heard immunity is reached when about 87-90% of the population has been vaccinated (many variables go into this so its usually a range). 

We wouldn't have needed heard immunity or vaccines if everyone would have been compliant and followed mask mandates/closure regulations since day one but too many people decided to not listen and now this is our next option.

It was either going to be inconvenient in the beginning and short lived or free but painful for longer. We all knew this since March of 2020. 

this isn't about who WANTS to be vaccinated anymore. This is about who CAN be vaccinated and whether or not they will be.

we wont reach herd immunity, in most western countries vaccination rates are already dropping although theres plenty of vaccine available.

uhm, i guess so? but its pretty much out of the question that covid vaccinations are gonna become mandatory.

were at a point where you either get vaccinated or youll need to live w/ the possible consequences of catching covid.

Good luck to everyone in England. I'm only across the water in Dublin where we are looking on anxiously. I know hospitalizations are stagnant now, but that could move in the wrong direction in the next two weeks.

We're entering into maybe the trickiest phase of this now, where we have to disentangle ourselves. It was never going to be a case of 'ok, covid's dead, turn everything back on'. Govts are going to have to make very difficult calls. Are the UK govt getting this one right ? In my opinion, no, they should have waited another couple of weeks. I hope I'm wrong, and I repeat, good luck to everyone in England.

Ummm Personally I think it's still way too early to throw out restrictions unless the majority of the population are fully vaccinated. 

Isn't the UK at around 50% with the Delta variant causing outbreaks across the country?
