Charles Manson murder house listed by zak bagans finds new owner

The home where Charles Manson's followers murdered the LaBiancas is finally in the hands of a new owner ... after months of sitting on the market and a significant slash in price.

Sources familiar with the purchase tell TMZ, the Los Feliz crib -- where Lenoand Rosemary LaBianca were infamously killed in '69 -- just passed hands from Zak Bagans to someone who's not so famous, and wants to keep it that way.

The anonymous buyer closed on Tuesday, and we're told they paid around $1.8 million.

I feel like if you’re rich enough to buy this house then you’re rich enough to just knock it down & build something new. I don’t think I could live in a house where someone was murdered so gruesomely

1.8 million in that area is actually a STEAL. I'd honestly buy it if I had that type of money, perform an excercism on the house, bulldozer the house and then build something else over that land. The land is where the investment is at not the house itself per say tbh.

The thing keeping most people from purchasing it is probably the possibility of copy-cats and “devotees” trying a repeat. I sure as hell wouldn’t want to sleep in the same place that crazy folks idolize.

$1.8 mil seems very high but considering this is LA, I’d wager that the buyer isn’t ultra rich by SoCal standards. Probably went all in on this property and doesn’t have any left to do that much work on it. Good luck to them. I could never sleep there knowing what happened.

Exactly that's what it would be for me. Manson is too famous...

I just hope whoever lives there will respect the home and refrain from making a display out of it, which seems to be happening given the anon purchase. Sharon is one of my dearest celebrities and it sickens me knowing her life (and everyone else M*nson got his grimy hands on) is just a spectacle to a majority of people. The LaBiancas deserve to have their peace and home undisturbed. 

It's a blessing (and a curse) that Sharon's home was flattened and rebuilt. It hurts knowing that her place of happiness is gone, but it's better than to have it as a place of tragedy for the public to gawk at.

That poor couple had a terrible death. The house should have been knocked down. I think they knocked down Sharon's.

Can I ask why you love her so much? It seems to me that she was most famous for being slaughtered with her baby. Her acting career was limited.

She was a beautiful soul, every celebrity who had known her had something amazing to say about her because she was absolutely and purely kind-hearted. Her acting career may have been limited, yes, but she did star in some really great films specifically Valley of the Dolls, Don't Make Waves, and 13 Chairs. She was only beginning what was a super promising career and she was excited to be a mother and found that to be her true calling. There are some great documentaries about her made before and after she died, alongside amazing photoshoots which I collect and more. Her sister, Debra, has shared some great info about her sister, if you'd like to take a look into that. 

What I'm trying to say is that it's horrible the success she had accomplished (she was pretty famous during her time!) has been overshadowed by her death and had that sick person and his following not taken her from us, I guarantee she would've had a huge impact in the likes of Jane Fonda (whom she knew and was friends with!) and we wouldn't have to ever associate such a wonderful woman with those awful events. I love Sharon for the woman she was, not the tragedy she became.
