Inside Out. I think it’s one of the worst Pixar movies. Has its charm here and there but overall, I really didn’t like it

I wasn't a big fan of Knives Out, and Jojo Rabbit.

Call me by your name was so long and boring, that it felt like I spend 3 weeks in Italy afterwards. (Not in a good way)

Star Wars most installments.

Despise is maybe too strong a word, but they bore me to death. The score is usually praised but it's too noisy for me.

Every movie with that cucumberfaced Ryan ****!ng Gosling in it. Lala Land gives me the rash. War movies too. Most of french movies, especially with mundane couple relationship stories. The local subdued drama style. Always the same actors Idgaf to the boring characters they play and replay again.

I read mentions of Hitchcock, Kubrick, Welles, Fellini in the thread... Yeah, their kinda oldskool overcrafted style  doesn't probably touch a sensitive string in most of young audience. Time will make it. Some of you will come to these geniuses one day, later in your life...

Interstellar

All the sci-fi cliché tropes are there, and yet it manages to make even less sense, just to connect it with some attempt of emotional plot.

Bonus: Avatar. Beautiful CGI, but that is basically it. I guess it appeals to the US because of the military themes but...:triggered: And now writing this reminded me of The Hurt Locker :madge:

Edit: How could I forget Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and most DC movies. I don't have much of a reason for these, just personal preference, as I usually like other films in the respective genres. I am thankful for their cultural contributions to evolve their genres though.

Avatar. I watched it maybe 5 times because I tried forcing myself to like it considering literally 99% of the world does. I just cannot like it. I love sci-Fi and the idea but the execution is just not something I enjoy.

this x 50000 - I dont understand how they are making like five more sequels

I mentioned most of these but I actually like many movies and directors from that time and even before, it's not just a question of generation.

Oh and Capernaum (dir. Nadine Labaki). It won many awards at Cannes but the movie is literally made for rich people to nut over refugees and poor people's plights while glorifying the same people who mistreat them. It's literally over 2 hours misery p*rn (and it works because it made me sob when I watched it).

Soft, soothing, and succulent
