there is something fishy tbh.

I mean even the song isn't in the top 10 in the streaming chart in the USA... not to undermine their success but, kinda weird tbfh.

It's cheating. Honestly I didn't mind it the first week or even the second week but if this song has more weeks then Mariah's One Sweet Day at #1 it's a problem.

Y’all can’t even hide your racism lol. As someone has already pointed out, charts have always been manipulated. To get streams, labels pay Spotify to appear on their playlists. To get airplay, labels pay radio stations to keep their songs on rotation. So why is it cheating when it’s the fans doing it?

Let’s not forget Gaga also did a contest where people had to buy copies of a song and send receipts to her. The more copies, the more chances of winning.

“racism” as if stans wouldn’t be doing this to literally any artist regardless of their race lol

This is so pathetic and fake. But it's all BB fault because of their stupid formula.

In italy is even worse because here radio don't count for the official charts (only sales, that are now dead, and streaming). So you have a song that everybody and their mother knows because it's a radio hit, but on the official charts it's like not even in the top 40 because before it there are the tik tok songs, the songs spammed in playlists etc.

Charts WW no longer indicate the actual popular songs. I'd say eliminate the charts.

What happened to the GP (general public)?  Why can't they buy 100K in album sales?  During the past 3 weeks, BTS only sold 100K in album sales per week, which is a very low number.  If other artists can't even get 100K, then they are not popular enough or their songs are not good.
Butter is not a good song either, but other songs can't even get 100K then the other songs don't deserve to be #1.

High quality songs tend to have low view counts, and low sales.  Generic Pop songs tend to be popular and can get the highest sales, that's what Dynamite and Butter are, they are generic pop songs.

That's why the Grammy rarely gives awards to the most popular songs.  The Grammy tends to give awards to songs or albums that aren't the most popular, but they consider more quality.

Many are fans of other artists too.   I bought the Chromatica album when Rain On Me went #1.
