U didnt answer my question...

U said ppl complain either way about the left. Im saying does this user complain both ways? Cuz if not what other ppl complain about isnt relative to him

PS: i agree with u btw

No, I was referring to the fact that that comment seemed to shade "cancel culture" saying it didn't apply to famous/powerful people, thus complaining about cancellation whilst also implying cancellation itself is wrong. But the user already clarified and I agree with them.

Are they allowed to press criminal charges in this case?

If so then i guess the lawsuit was by choice and they prefer money?

I dont know if its the case in this partocular situation cuz i dont know the law very well in this case so im gonna generalize here...

But ive noticed quite a few ppl when they are wronged in some way, if they get more than 1 legal option on how to respond they will still select the option that puts more personal profit ahead of them than the option that is more focused on justice. Its a choice, but i find it kinda sad thats where we are as a society :deadbanana:

Like in cases where a profitable lawsuit is an option over charges... ppl will often take the lawsuit :enigma:

And the sad thing is... i probably would too depending on the situation. But i never claimed to be morally perfect :messga:

I don't actually know. This is also the first I've heard about this situation :bear: like, how old are the students? It doesn't say in the article. But it still sounds like predatory behavior and at least sexual harassment.

But yeah, I don't think the civil suit shouldn't be allowed, they should be able to seek damages, but it should follow criminal proceedings and an investigation.
