Suspiria 10,683
With the news of Love For Sale promo starting soon, it very much feels like the final nail in the coffin for Chromatica. The tour is 'postponed' but Gaga hasn't even acknowledged it and let's be real, she's not going to revive a 2+ year old album in 2022 when she's already moved onto the Jazz era and then Gucci and possibly even Bullet Train. If she does tour in 2022, it won't be a dedicated Chromatica show. But I think it's very safe to say that the vast majority of fans would rather she gave us a proper Chromatica era before moving onto the next era. It's by far her best received album and visuals in years, and anyone who says they're satisfied by the treatment it got is kidding themselves. We want more videos, looks and DEFINITELY some performances, because the sound and imagery deserve it. So I wonder, is this the first time fans don't want to see her move onto a new era? From TF-BTW Gaga very much squeezed every last drop out of each era, delivering anything anyone could ever want. C2C/tribute era, although popular, seemed to last forever and fans were DESPERATE for LG5. With all the RedOne rumours and the fact she'd been singing covers for 3 years, people couldn't wait to hear new pop music. Joanne was visually and sonically generally a disappointment to the fanbase (Joanne stans don't come for me, this is just a fact). It got plenty of content, and I remember by Coachella when she debuted The Cure people were very much ready to move onto the next pop album. When she was still performing MR at the Grammys in 2018 people were tired. Teasing for LG6 started well before ASIB came out, and I remember before it's release and all through that era fans were fully ready for a pop album. After the Oscars was probably the most painful year of being a Gaga fan lmao, the constant waiting. Despite how beloved that soundtrack was, both fans and the GP were ready for a new pop album ASAP. I became a stan during ARTPOP but I wasnt involved in any online forums/twitter back then. So that's the only era I'm not sure about what the consensus was - were fans ready to move on by the time C2C came out? Or were people thirsty for Act II and more music videos? (Before any Jazz stans come in and tell me they're hyped for LFS - I know, I'm not sayiny people aren't hyped for it. I'm just saying we'd rather get more Chromatica content first, before moving onto that later)
NFRatwell 23,290
Honestly, if “reviving” the Chromatica era means a performance every 6 months and some remixes I’d rather her just move on. I don’t think she even connect with the album anymore which is totally fine, I’d just rather her stand behind music that means something to her now than pretending to still be interested in Chromatica for the sake of us
LittleMonster20 9,788
From what I remember, I think by the time Cheek To Cheek came out people were ready for it. Also it was so cool because Gaga would be doing jazz by day and then the artRAVE and thus ARTPOP stuff by night while traveling through Europe. I feel like by June 2014 people kind of gave up on expecting more ARTPOP content after the ARTPOP app being shut down and Gaga taking a few weeks break while working on Cheek To Cheek. We did get some cool artRAVE things after but generally after the artRAVE finished we were fully in the Cheek To Cheek era.

Rj Barker 3,320
I'm happy for her to move on. She gave us the album, I loved it. Don't need anything else from her really. We're over a year since release and she's probably changed as a person over those said months. It won't make me enjoy the album more because of a few performances. ThisGuyTony 29,374
Yes but everyone just gave up on it despite “many surprises” being planned.

I guess I should have said best received solo album. ASIB was a very different thing since it had the whole movie attached. But even so, Chromatica still has her highest metacritic score

It got 4 music videos, a hundred different performances, many interviews and magazine covers, Superbowl, Coachella, as I mentioned she was still performing it at the Grammys well over a year later. The only thing that got cut short was the tour. As much as I hated that era and almost unstanned, there's no denying that she delivered quantity. Siena 5,868
Honestly at this point I’m fine with her moving on from Chromatica. The thing that bothers me is that she never even acknowledged the fact she was doing that though, especially when it comes to the postponement of her tour. It’s so strange to me how we had to find out through Ticketmaster and she didn’t say anything about it. That being said yes this really does seem like the first time we really aren’t ready for her to move on.
Clayton 725
Yeah, I'm finding this era/album the hardest to move on from, mostly because I refuse to believe it's over. I connected with this album in a way I hadn't been expecting, so I would obviously love for her to honor it a little more before she moves on

Fans were very much ready to move on from C2C by 2016, and there's no denying that the GP was super ready for LG6 after 2018 due to all the articles and 'most anticipated albums of ...' mentions it got in the press. And other than ASIB, Chromatica massively beats out both commercially and critically all her releases since BTW in terms of numbers.
