Although fans of DC Films would usually rejoice over a photo teasing the first day of filming on “Aquaman 2,” moviegoers are furious that Amber Heard is still on the cast amid ongoing legal battles with her ex-husband Johnny Depp. On Monday, James Wan, the director of “Aquaman 2,” shared a photo from the set of the film. The picture featured a clapperboard on the floor of what appeared to be an ice cave. “Day One. #aquaman2,” Wan captured the photo. However, fans took to Twitter to boycott the movie and slam the studio for allowing the actress to remain on the cast after she previously admitted to hitting Depp, despite her allegations that he was abusive during their marriage. When he stepped down from FB I didn’t know that much about the case, I thought they were both bad, but after reading into it a lot more, I think it’s pretty evident that he was a victim. I think she deserves to be removed, this coming from a strong feminist too. Of all the abusive men in Hollywood, I think they got the wrong guy this time. He was already going to be dropped from POTC two years before Amber's 2018 article for alcohol and drug abuse as well as the Disney execs seeing anger and violent behavior towards Depp's female talent agent. I didn’t say he was a saint, but that I can see that he was a victim. He got fired from POTC 5 days after Amber published her op-ed that she’s being sued over. He’s also always had drug/alcohol issues and still got hired for 5 movies. I don’t think it’s a coincidence when they chose to fire him. The source that you linked above (courthouse news) also is kind of biased and twist their reporting of the case a bit, the talent agent didn’t say she saw him being violent but that she saw him having anger outbursts, (which I’ve read can be common for abuse victims) which made her believe he could be violent towards someone else. But not that she saw him being physically violent. I’m not trying to start a fight here or anything, just trying to explain it from another point of view, because reporting on the case isn’t really accurate.
