Hahaha so they accuse the monarchy of racism all year, say the Queen was a terrible mother who passed on huge trauma to Charles... and then name theur kid after her. If y'all can't see how they are playing both sides then I give up.

Don’t you comment on literally every Gaga thread pointing out how obsessed people are with being negative towards her and the era :poot:

This is a lady gaga forum 🧐

I've probably commented in about 4 Meghan/Harry threads but of course if you don't gush over them and point out their hypocrisy then you are "obsessed".  I'm as entitled to give my opinion as all of you. I'm happy that they've had a healthy baby but even the name shows how much they want their royal background to be remembered. They never want to give those titles up and giving their daughter a name like Lilibet Diana Windsor shows they don't want their daughter to be treated equally either.

*again, nobody has to get annoyed and defensive. It's my opinion.

In case some of you aren't aware, Lilibet is apparently the Queen's nickname (it's like a switch-around of Elizabeth) and only those who are super close to her are allowed to call her by that name. So by making this is the official first name of their child, Meghan and Harry are effectively making that private nickname world knowledge. And pairing it with Diana is an added reminder of the royal heritage that they claim to hate so much. I thought the name Diana would feature somewhere, even as a first name but to make the very old-fashioned, rare name Lilibet be the first and have it also be the private nickname of the grandmother who Harry basically called a bad mother in the press recently is absolutely bewildering. Nothing against the baby, of course, she's not at fault. Just saying that when she finds out the origins of her name, she may be feeling quite conflicted. And it's advised not to name your children after family members, especially if they're famous and did great things. It's too much pressure for the child to live up to. I'm so confused that they gave Archie a fairly normal sounding name but for their daughter, they went above and beyond with royal references and doing so after they've left the royal family and complained about them at that. I think children should be allowed their own identity, not one tied to their parents ideals and agendas.

I think, regardless of what has been said, that this is an absolutely fabulous name.

Ultimately, both Harry & Meghan have said they like & respect the Queen. I don’t see the issue here.

Yeah.. One week he's calling her a bad mother who passed trauma down through the family, next he's calling his daughter after her. I honestly don't know what is going on in Harry's mind. He's not acting rationally. After the interview I was talking with a friend and we both thought the interview was appalling. She thought the royals or at least William should release a statement defending him and  kate and the rest of the family too. At least against the accusation that he is trapped in his life. But I said no, let the drama and hyperbole run its course. It's Harry and Meghan who are going to come out of this looking ridiculous, and I was right. I've noticed even supporters of them are starting to tíre of the constant complaints and airing of their family drama (for money). Public support is a very fickle thing and Harry and Meghan seem to be one trick ponies.

If they respected the Queen, why would they shade her in the recent interview Harry did where he basically said she passed on trauma through the family? And why would he say this mere months after she's lost her husband, his grandfather, who he attended the funeral of? Notice that Harry and Meghan's biggest demand is for privacy. Privacy for them, that is. It seems to be that everyone else's privacy does not matter, particularly if they feel in any way slighted by them.

We are allowed to comment on whatever we see fit. If anything, the things we dislike get us more fuelled than we stuff we like. The whole point of a forum is to put our thoughts out there, for and against. On the contrary, if you don't like what we have to say, just ignore us but don't tell us we don't have the right to speak. Funny how Harry and Meghan's fans are all about supporting them in their rights to free speech but don't like their detractors using the same right. Oh, and Harry recently called the first amendment, the right to free speech, "bonkers" and it was purely because he didn't like the press showing up him and his wife's hypocrisy. I don't know how anyone can be a fan of them after that. If there's one thing everyone should fight for, it's free speech.

So? After all he is a royal? Just because they’re leaving they need to break all ties? That’s still his grandmother..

you’re acting as if they’re moving back into the palace. There isn’t much here to cry hypocrite about. Really…they made it very clear that they still love the queen and that she was NOT the one who had racist preconceived ideas about their baby, so why would they have ill will towards her?

I don’t think you’ll be happy until you see Meg and Harry offed. I’m not a fan of them. I’m not even in the UK, but you my friend take it to a whole new level.

Im reporting that comment. Totally uncalled for and insulting. It doesn't even deserve a response. Grow up.

I just find it absolutely pathetic and cringe worthy you're attacking a woman who literally just gave birth.

You haters are actually OBSESSED with them - let them live their lives, you run into every topic and attack them.

This is a thread about amazing news that someone has given birth and that they sweetly honoured Harry's late mother and the Queen. Can't you guys stop your pettiness for at least one thread? I get second hand embarrassment.

LOL. Of all the things you’ve said about that couple :billie: guess I stuck a nerve.
this is exactly like when you ran off set of Good Morning Britain.

It’s a strange choice considering everything. I don’t see how they can say everything they have and then be like ‘except you bestie xox’ towards the Queen. I’m sure the Queen is sick to back teeth of them and them calling their child her childhood nickname, one her dear father gave her, is probably like rubbing salt into a wound. Proper weird but go H&M I guess.

Not the bore worms!
