Yes covid happened but look what other artists were still able to do. It’s so strange that such a well thought out concept was never executed. Part of me believes it’s Gaga’s own need to be a perfectionist, that her mindset was “ if she can’t do it as planned she won’t do it at all.” But there has to have been something behind the scenes... Well the pandemic has lasted longer than really any of us expected. I think she was hoping it would be over by the time the album came out or at least by the start of the tour but antimasking idiots made it a living hell here in the US so she couldn’t really do much. im hoping with the chromatica remix album it brings life back into the era. This occurence should not be a surprise to us fans. Remember when they planned out a performance almost one year in the making, only to have it scrapped a month before the execution. This didnt happen once. Same goes for her unreleased MVs. I think none of it could have been pulled off effectively considering it was such a huge project. She would’ve ended up turning out much lower quality content than she wanted to and not done it justice due to restrictions. Also she had so many other things on her plate that time was a huge factor. I assume she made a painful decision to put it on hold til after covid and her film roles... and then covid went on for over a YEAR I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
