I was under the impression it was to be filmed in NYC. But the tour never made it there due to her injury.

I really don't think so because I genuinely believe had it been, she would've released it by now. The BTWB wasn't like the Joanne Tour in the sense that while I don't doubt she cared about the Joanne Tour and was proud of the show, she knew that what they got on film wasn't the best thing that it could've been. The cancellation of that tour was sad and I'm sure it broke her heart, but she knew that footage was not going to do justice and putting it out just to satisfy an audience who didn't get to see it live wouldn't have benefitted anyone. Whereas with the BTWB, if they filmed the dates that the rumor says she did, she would've captured one of the best shows of the tour. When the BTWB got cancelled after her injury, putting a DVD out would've been a wonderful consolation, especially considering there weren't in the grand scheme of things that many dates left. Combine that with how much fans adore this show, and how much she adored it, I don't think she would've sat on it for almost 10 years and done nothing with it. She probably has the footage of the camera feed used for the screens, but I doubt she has a full on professional DVD quality recording of the show. 

Plus, I think that at this point if a DVD was shot, we'd have known about it. It's not exactly easy to hide when that's going on, it's noticeable when there are more cameras around than normal. Even with artists who managed to "surprise" drop a concert film like Taylor and Ariana did, you had fans on social media talking about the cameras the day of the gig so at the very least fans were aware something had been filmed. As far as I know, there's been no comments of a large scale filming noticed on any of the BTWB dates.

Well some of the tour was filmed for the btwb/ARTPOP documentary that terry richardson was making.. you can find videos on yt of her at various events where he is recording.. at donatellas, the rolling stones concert, the tour of course. They filmed her hip surgery.

I remember speaking briefly with a contractor who kept the screen footage for The BTWB for some dates. This was around the time I was searching for the chilean one in HD. Which is basically a high class fan shot.
