It’s a well-known pollster in the US.

Oh, I thought it was one of those "topoftheworldlistxyz" websites that no one cares about but exists for some godforsaken reason :huntyga:

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

Honestly it makes sorta sense. Zoomers, Millennials, Xers and Boomers all know Gaga. But not all Zoomers would know Madonna. Not all Boomers would know, say, Billie.

Rihanna or Adele not being there is weird. Ariana is missing too.

Eh, probably a sample size that's incredibly skewed. Or maybe it's just totally made up a Monsters!

Also, I checked and this doesn't necessarily mean "most famous of all time". It is just that, at this quarter of this year, Gaga is the most well known FROM all artists, among the people who have taken their poll. Which is still great, considering she spent most of the last year laying around and eating oreos :poot:

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

Another interesting statistic is that Gaga is one of the two more contemporary pop stars within the top 20 list of baby boomers, the other one being Britney :tony:

Also this Dolly Parton erasure. :messga:

Dolly is the #1 if you scale it by "popularity" :tony:

I wonder how they differentiated between the metrics of fame and popularity, though. Maybe "popularity" solely means positive attention while fame also includes notoriety?

With yougov popularity refers to how well-liked someone is. So Dolly has the most people who feel positively about her. Very believable imo.

Yaaasss!!!!! Honestly w the new generation, less people will know about MJ, Madonna, etc. lol unless they purposefully try usually so this list makes sense

its interesting when you change the generations on the left, it drastically changes the list.
Generation X selected, Lady Gaga is #21 on the list, so shes making her way further down with each generation lol

I would have thought Michael Jackson as #1.
