Mr Ricky 8,960
CAUTION: Do not view/enter this thread if you can't handle true crime being exposed through music/art. Last week, I've been getting into the type of genre I never thought I would have listened to. But this band literally threw me off and it grabbed my attention in a split second. Especially with the vision they have into creating their music. It may sound sadistic, but in reality this really is the world we live in. ABOUT SKYND: SKYND is an electronic-industrial metal band whose songs are themed around infamous true crime cases. The two members are lead singer SKYND and producer/multi-instrumentalist Father (also known as F). Their true identities are as yet unknown. As she quotes her reason on doing this: "I want to get as close as possible to the evil that humans are capable of. I am obsessed with it. For weeks, months even, I’ve been trying to get into the heads of the most vicious, cruel killers. There is nothing more fascinating to me than people who have reached the boundary of their humanity." - SKYND Here are a few songs --- Columbine - "SCHOOL SHOOTING AND ATTEMPTED BOMBING THAT OCCURRED ON APRIL 20, 1999, AT COLUMBINE HIGH SCHOOL." --- Michelle Carter - "CARTER’S TRIAL HAD CAPTURED NATIONAL ATTENTION, AND HER RELEASE HAS BEEN MET WITH MIXED REACTIONS, WITH SOME EXPRESSING OUTRAGE THAT SHE’S ALREADY A FREE WOMAN." --- Tyler Hadley - "Murdering his own parents, simply for hating them" --- Katherine Knight - "Murdering her husband, skinning and eating him after for the sake of love". ------ These music video's are so fcking well done. The high production value for this low-key artist just amazes me. The fact that the Columbine video has been taken in 1 shot with 2 seperate cuts being quick character changes, the gray-scale and storytelling in a victim's perspective is executed well done. For what I think is, that she portrays the Angel of Death in every video. I bought tickets for her concert in 2022. And I'm really excited for how this is going to turn out. Head Empty 24,284
I saw them live as the opening act for BABYMETAL last year, without having any idea who they were or what they did. Their live show was AMAZING. The vocals, lighting, choreography and entire vibe of the performance were all extremely captivating. This was my personal highlight (this happens to be the concert where I saw them): That said, I wouldn't listen to their music in my spare time, as I'm not the biggest fan of true crime music. But as a live experience, I can highly recommend them Happiness will never last, darkness comes to kick your ass... ᵃˢˢ 🕺

JazzGa 14,512
As a metalhead (and Law and Order SVU stan ), I have always liked music that embraces extreme lyrics and pushes the limits of self-expression. These guys seem to be carrying on that heavy metal spirit in a unique new way. Very interesting stuffs, very compellling. Thanks for sharing!
