Will Dua’s “Future Nostalgia” era inspire other pop stars to work harder?

Sadly I dont think so :( Dua is an anomaly and I dont think she will become the blueprint despite her massive success. Artists have become too lazy and labels have become too scared to invest time, money and effort in artists anymore.

That said I think this success will encourage Dua to continue with this pattern. She did the same with her debut record. She did many videos and performances and she did it with her sophmore record too which is great! I hope she gives us another like 6 singles for Dua Lipa 3 whenever she releases it!

Yeah, Dua is promoting her second album and of course, she would do this. She needs to promote an album because she's starting in the game. When Gaga, Katy, Taylor, and all of the big names of today were in this moment in their careers? They promoted like hell.

So, I personally think that she will continue to do it in her next era, but it will be slower in the future when her name and brand are truly established.

Katy and Taylor still promoted their recent works a lot compared to other artists.

After the huge success of Future Nostalgia it left me wondering if Dua brought back the traditional album era rollout?

Future Nostalgia album peaked 1 year after it’s release, it is getting a no1 single with it’s 6th single in the USA, Levitating has one of the longest climbs to the no1 position on Hot100 and is breaking records everywhere just because of Dua’s hard work and dedication to the era as of whole.

Do we think this will inspire other record labels and their artists to try and make their eras as long as possible?

I personally hope it will.

Let’s discuss!

she and the weeknd deserve all the success they are getting because they worked hard to deliver good songs and concept for the albums.

For incumbent artists, I doubt it. It depends on the label's confidence in the material

Dua Lipa's FN is kinda like Katy's Teenage Dream. there are so many single materials so that they can stretch the era out.

While there are Sophomore album curse, Sophomore effort sometimes catapulted as artist's biggest era (Gaga, Katy, Taylor, Adele, etc has their peak at sophomore album) FN is pretty much her sophomore effort.

We'd see for new artists on the horizon who could reach the same trajectory.
