A lot of people were literally introduced to Frida because of the movie and it was photographed so beautifully and Salma gave a great performance though I think she should have been nominated for Lonely Hearts but the movie was a total flop and then on Beatriz at Dinner but she was completely overlooked. Wow I really went deep. Sorry. I feel the same way about The Hours introducing an entire generation to the work of Virginia Woolf. If I hadn’t watched that movie I would’ve probably discovered her way later and missed out on reading the brilliant work she wrote. It also sheds light on mental health and AIDS so I think that’s great too.
