I don’t believe I do but one must admit it could happen as it gets tiring replying to article after article from nationalist rags that want to give their readers what they want to read.

Like the article saying Scotland legally doesn’t have to pay the UK anything on exiting the UK.  Right now, that is true but that doesn’t acknowledge the fact that for that to remain legally true Scotland would have to walk away on a “no deal” with the UK as the UK will of course want to recoup its investments.  It then doesn’t go on to say the political fallout of such an action.  You’d have the UK pulling what strings it can to block Scotland’s entrance into the EU, like Poland.  You’d have hesitant members saying “hey, this guy doesn’t pick up his tab.  I don’t want him here with us!” and that feeling would be pretty much shared worldwide.  So you then having a starving Scotland who no one wants to work with until it either makes concessions and pays the UK or is forced to rejoin it.

Now, when I write out replies like that your answer is “BUT THE UK SPENT THAT MONEY FOR US” and whilst that remain slightly true, it’s a shared budget we have all paid into.  The UK had to pay its bill to the EU despite the fact it may be going towards a library in Belgium or fishing in Italy, it’s what happens during the exiting arrangements.  As we have seen with Ireland, it will happen exactly the same as with Scotland unless the UK decides to write it off... which unfortunately it wouldn’t.

As I said, we should take on a slice of a debt and take some assets with us. The rUK doesn’t have that many friends left in the EU, especially with Bojo and her before him. It doesn’t make any sense for the EU to reject us. They even let in former communist countries. Why not Scotland? You haven’t answered that. Do you think Scotland would be successful? Of course it would.

In what way have I not counter argued? “Spain will veto you” - they said they wouldn’t. 
“Your deficit will stop you getting entry” - our deficit as part of the United Kingdom.
