I'm a lurker but I always see you post these kind of posts. You understand most users here are American and couldn't place the UK on the map, let alone Scotland right? Why do you think they care? They don't. Sorry honey, you are idealistic, bigoted and delusional.

We see many threads about the US, yet there are many europeans on this forum. Nobody knows where Alabama is, nobody cares about your healthcare problems, you understand most users here can't put Ohio on a map, let alone Mississippi? Why do you think they care? They don't. Sorry honey, you are idealitic and delusional

I’m afraid it’s not different.  You’re asking Spain to cause itself further national unrest to take on your deficit... they gain absolutely nothing but problems by accepting Scotland so it’s not going to happen :ladyhaha:

Have you saw the mess of Brexit? A lot of the EU is refusing to trade with us because us shooting ourselves in the foot. Obviously you haven’t saw any of my posts today. Our deficit is only because we are part of the UK - it takes into reserved and devolved spending matters

If you don’t like my threads don’t comment. Don’t look. Where have I showed bigotry? All I show is valid arguments in favour of Independence for Scotland.

If you don't like it don't comment. Hmmm isn't that what bigots and racists say? Your entire thread history is anti English, xenophobic and racist. Whether you are doing this willingly or lack the self awareness of what you post, the result remains the same. And seriously the original point stands: why to do you think, your average American twink that uses this website gives a **** about Scottish independence? It's not even close to on their radar LMAO.

No. I know where they all are. If you are happy in your ignorance of world geography, that's on you. But at least you agree that most people here are misinformed and lack even the most basic  of education. Thank you for validating my point.

I’m not defending the tories, I don’t believe in austerity at all.  I’m just saying, a vote to leave would force Scotland to enter an even darker and harsher period of austerity if it wants to ever be accepted into the EU

Depending on where taxes already are and how much room there is to raise them... sometimes austerity is the only way if u irresponsibly get urself in a big enough hole... either that or money printing in mass and cause hyper inflation which comes with its own problems

Im generalizing tho. Im not specifically talking about Scotland cuz i dont know much about its financial situation and its means

I won’t comment on the rest of this post because I think it’s untrue but this bit I quoted does stand.  Miss Dolly fell down the nationalism hole a while ago.  Nationalism is still Nationalism whether you try to wrap around a blue flag with yellow stars on it or not.

Yeah, I do agree that sometimes it’s the only option, when a deficit is so big like Scotland’s there really is no other way to get it under control if it was to just rely on itself.  I do think the Conservatives went too far with it in previously in the UK though, there was a need for certain cutbacks but it went to hard and too deep.

Show one part where I have shown “anti English, xenophobic or racism”? I am none of those things. I think Scotland deserves better than the Westminster system. That’s not anti English, that’s anti Westminster. I’m a believer in civic nationalism. Look it up.

Indeed. There are none as blind as those that can't see. I mean, for me it's an observation; you have your views, but be real about WHAT they stand for and really are. And WHY she thinks the average user of Gagadaily is gonna give a **** or have any capacity to do anything about it is a mystery.....

These ENDLESS posts about Scottish nationalism. Like most people here care about Gaga's next single. If they are a bit politically aware..it's about LGBT rights. It's just bizarre to be pushing this infinite loop of posts about Scotland being free, like they are under a oppressive umbrella. Girl...pls.

I'm black British, live in brum. Your endless nationalism posts are offensive, Change the record.

What nationalism? I don’t believe Scotland is better than anyone. All I think Scotland deserves better than the Westminster system. By god, I want Scotland to join the biggest trading block in the world.

Its always a balancing act. Cuz cut too deep u could damage economy to such an extent to cause a downward spiral that tax revenue drops and you make it even worse

On the flip side those that propose spending even more money to stimulate growth for more tax revenue fail to consider that if the deficits didnt already have that effect up until then in the first place (hence why so much debt is accomulated), even more overspending probably wont either. Spending needs to produce a very high riple effect to pay for itself. Since most economies tax the equivalent of less than 20% of economic output, it means that for every $1 of increased spending you need to create at least $5 of economic growth in order for increased spending to pay for itself thru growth, a riple effect that strong rarely ever happens even when its well targeted

Best oa to avoid financial ruin in the first place cuz once in it there isnt always a perfect solution :/

I’ve already stated what I believe as an Indy supporter. I’m more of a internationalist. As I’ve said, they are a section for World News, if members don’t like my posts don’t comment. I post about UK politics all the time. Plenty of US news I do not contribute about.

I believe you're entitled to your opinion and respectfully feel you can talk about whatever topic you want (as long as it's legal!).

Though I've found some of your comments on Prince Phillip/Royals (the UK's first monarch was Scottish) and AstraZeneca a little "unsavory" :lolga: and think you've been made a victim of the bias regarding Indy Scotland being the new land of milk and honey, that's my issue and not yours.

Views and opinions should never be censored because nobody would ever learn if we did so. Having open, friendly debates is what makes us better as people.

From my point of view, an independent Scotland would have plenty of advantages and disadvantages. Though I kind of think life would just stay mostly the same for the everyday Scot (like Brexit).

It would be very interesting to see whether the SNP would divide into smaller parties and how this would affect UK elections with a sizeable chunk of seats gone.
