Good. Sorry but I don't care about some people losing jobs when it's going to destroy our planet and ruin more lives than that. Get a different job.

That's already in place since Obama. The problem is retraining resistance. Like when coal miners refuse retraining.

Like, good for you, you drive a hybrid. I assume you charged your car at home? Where the electricity is made using fossil fuels?

U know what i used to say the same thing that it didnt help if the energy wasnt green and u should emphasize the grid first then the cars

 

But then i realized that since change and transitions take so many years (and a car can last 15+ years on the road) if u wait until the grid is mostly green to start vehicle transition ur gonna take a long time to go green on both

 

I do still think the electric grid needs more emphasis than vehicles because the electric grid ends up affecting emissions from both ends but even so it doesnt hurt to start transition on cars also so that when grid is more green so is the vehicle fleet... 

 

Otherwise we change the grid this decade and only focus on cars later that means transportatiom wouldnt be green till past 2040 tbh

You wouldn't be saying that if you were the one losing your only source of income. 

OT: This makes sense. They should provide them with alternatives, including free education and training for those who need them for new jobs. Switching to environmentally friendly industries is crucial, and so is keeping the jobs of people who will be affected.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea it has been attempted before and (apparently) failed  Here is hoping this go-around will be more successful

For the reasons i mentioned it wouldnt be that simple in the majority of cases and communities

 

But i definitely support other ways to help them!
