He is supposed to try to calm things down, then shout order while pointing his taser, not shoot FOUR TIMES with a gun. She was the one who was attacked at first and the one who called the cops. If he HAD to gonna shoot her, he could’ve gone for her foot or leg or something ONCE. Not shooting her four times. She was a child. He had no right to take the life of a child like that. She was a girl, not a young woman. Even that wouldn’t be justified. If you can’t deal with protecting a child, even from herself, in a dire situation, you’re not fit to be a police officer. Yet it seems that most cases of a black stabber being shot as a first reaction happen in the US. See the pattern here? They do not have the proper training to de-escalate situations and it shows. The only thing keeping them from killing white people is the empathy caused by their alikeness, not their training and common practices. A hundred different things could've have been don before shooting a female teenager 4 TIMES: - Tasing - Overthrow using force (for sure he could easily have immobilized her from the back as she was) - Shooting a rubber bullet - Pepper spray - Shooting at the air to scare her - Shooting at a non-vital part of her body to stop her - ... The officer could have tried to shoot in the leg or something but everything happened so fast and he just did what they are meant to do. I'd want my mom saved by an officer if she were about to be stabbed. I wouldn't want him to say, "well she might survive the stabbing. So I won't shoot." My mom is on blood thinners. She bleeds profusely on small scratches. She wouldn't survive a stabbing. Neither would a hemophiliac or people with diabetes, not everyone heals the same.
