insight 2,440
Just now, kukuryku666 said: I liked this album a lot But interviews from that era are really sad She was talking about her past work in a really bad way She said that she was doing things just to shock people and it wasn't that deep And I don't think it's true, it seemed like people told her that so many times for so many years that she believed it herself at the end and it's heartbreaking to me, idk Esther was coming alive

androiduser 7,438
Nothing Fails was the biggest missed opportunity of Madonna's career. Had it been the lead single, or at least the second single, it would have been as big as Like a Prayer.
Sneaky Oliver 22,221
I love American Life! The nerve, the audacity, the irony of it. Nothing Fails and Nobody Knows Me are on my top10 favorite Madonna songs EVER. I have already said it here but, for me, ROL/ Music/ AL are the experimental trio. Electronic music + Ambient for ROL, + country/acoustic guitar for Music and + orchestral for American Life. I appreciate these records so much! Nobody Knows Me is my favorite track! Also: Shoutout to the incredible Reinvention Tour!
Bio 23,538
I absolutely love this album but yeah... It’s not a political album at all as some like to paint it. It’s an album about Madonna’s struggle with fame and her relationship with her family. I mean, Madonna dressed as Che Guevara is a joke on its own.
