I never said do nothing and I never said that I’m not doing anything I said I don’t have all the answers to this issue. Just because you think praying to god and trainings will solve the issue that obviously goes way beyond that doesn’t mean we’re all so naive.  I’m sure I’m doing more than the person who took it upon themselves to come to this thread and defend the murder of a child. It seems like your reading comprehension skills are about as good as your ability to form an argument without contradicting yourself every other sentence or using racist bs to support your non-existent points. You’re the one defending children being murdered here not me.

So out of curiosity, what do you believe the best course of action would’ve been?

 

to allow the stabbing to happen and do nothing? Because if you can think of a better solution please let me know so i can enlighten my perspective.

Ummmm literally anything other than shooting a child four times would have been a better course of action. At least three people have explained to you in this thread that cops are fully armored with multiple non-lethal ways of disarming a situation such as tasers, pepper spray, batons, etc and yet he chose to murder her anyway. You’re being so willfully obtuse here all so you can bootlick a murderer.

Okay, awesome. I agree with that 100% if you stop trying to fight online you’ll see I’m trying to AGREE WITH YOU. I wish that could’ve been the course of action taken.

It was a kitchen knife. Stabbings are VERY often not deadly and much easier to heal from than a gunshot wound. In a fight like that, it's also just as likely that he shoots someone else besides the girl holding the knife. 

 

He shouldn't have shot her, point blank, period, end of story. In this case, yes, a stabbing with a kitchen knife, which objectively has a much higher rate of survival, would have been better than the 4 bullets put into that girl's body in rapid fire.

i understand your point that we still need law enforcement and community protection, but the current police we have need major reform

that situation definitely looked chaotic and terrifying but if your first instict to dismantle a situation like this is to just shoot, you should not be a police officer

So it's ok he was supposed to let her carve up the other girl like a turkey because, hey, she would have lived anyways. You know with scars all up and down her face. Got it.

That wasn't what was going to happen??? You're literally just making that up. Based on the video, she would've been sliced on her arm and/or leg as the girl in pink threw herself onto the hood of the car and brought her limbs in front of her. I'm NOT saying the girl in pink should've been stabbed or hurt in any way. I'm saying the cost-benefit analysis of a stab wound vs a gun shot wound means that a stab wound is less lethal than a gun shot (not to mention four gunshots). He should not have used his firearm on her - especially not FOUR times. He shot her to kill her, not to stop her.  

He could've used his baton to stop her, especially a few seconds earlier when both girls were right in front of him on the floor. Being hit with a blunt object like a baton is enough to stop most people from continuing to attack. He could've tased her. He could've tried physically restraining her. But he immediately pulled out his gun, and now she's dead.
