Oof. Like wtf.

She needs to retire already, and Dems need new leadership ASAP.

And that was the case even prior to this mess of a statement..

Ok but the unspoken part of this is that Democratic leadership has not been putting in the work to make sure they have talented young people coming in the take over the reins. They basically get into power and hold on tightly for as long as they can. Unfortunately, what should be a “public service” has been made into a career and fast way to gain power, money, and influence.

What gets me is the way she literally LOOKS UP AT HEAVEN like some naïve grandmother who hasn't been in touch with anything over the last year  when she said "Thank you George Floyd" :lmao:

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

She'd been better off just saying this:

I mean the whole speech itself is a cringe vortex but do not tell me that the MLK jr part and whatever came next was also real.

Idk what to tell you if you can't see the difference between a family member trying to see something good in a horrible situation versus the speaker of the house majority saying... this.

I'm sure George Floyd would rather be alive than be a martyr or the face of BLM.

I didn’t say he’d rather be dead but he changed the world. That’s all she’s saying.

I know what she meant, but that is simply NOT the way to say it.

She's implying he agreed on dying, while this was yet ANOTHER RACE CRIME committed by the police, and it keeps happening today.

Born This Way

I really hate how she talked about him crying for his mom. Why would she say it like “oh wasn’t that sad” like it was some sad movie ending.

Run run with her top down baby she flies

"because of thousands, millions of people around the world who came out for justice, George floyyd's name will always be synonymous with justice."

Could have just said that but nope :fail:

it took me like, an entire day after I saw this to figure out why it was so terrible. But it is really insensitive and .. incorrect to say.
