Better Day 5,766
Source: https://news.sky.com/story/covid-19-family-of-italian-woman-who-died-after-oxford-astrazeneca-vaccine-launches-legal-action-12278855 The family of an Italian woman who died weeks after having the Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine have told Sky News they are taking legal action to establish whether the jab was to blame. The case comes after 55-year-old Augusta Turiaco, from Messina, Sicily, received her COVID jab on 11 March before her condition worsened in the days following her vaccination. The music teacher was keen to receive a jab as she worked with young people and even expressed her joy at getting the dose in a Facebook post, writing "fatto" - the Italian word for "done". Knife 7,080
That's so sad. It's interesting to see how women seem to be having more frequent and severe adverse reactions to the vaccine than men. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of it.
Leo 3,000
"woman who died after" would be a correct thread title. They are going to court to confirm if the vaccine was the cause. Saying she died from it is jumping way ahead.

Weve known for a while that younger women especially those pregnate or recently pregnate are disproportionately much more likely to get the rare blood clot... must be a hormonal thing Here in Canada most Provinces are not administering the astrazeneca for those under 55 but i dont know why they dont make them available for men since it seems males are not prone to this issue We have a bunch of doses close to expiring cuz they are running out of ppl willing to take astrazeneca. Like make them available to younger ppl then. Just exclude pregnate or recently pregnate women... doesnt justify letting a bunch of doses go to waste

Yeah bcs they rushed it so now people are cobayes, I understand the urgency but it's still risky to do that

Judging from other posts, I'm sensing an anti-vax sentiment from Miss Dolly... kind of ironic since Dolly Parton made her own vaccine chaeri pls

The PRAC has requested new studies and amendments to ongoing ones to provide more information and will take any further actions necessary. https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/news/astrazenecas-covid-19-vaccine-ema-finds-possible-link-very-rare-cases-unusual-blood-clots-low-blood
