I don’t really know that much about it apart from she’s not very well liked on this forum on the Internet, but I watched a recent documentary and she seemed perfectly fine and a lot of people were saying she was such a wonderful person and really special so I don’t really know what to think

she's mad because the packaging says "eat guilt free" rather than being labeled as gluten and sugar free

she really out there triggered, using her platform to go mad over small business using "eat guilt free" over their sugar free product, then using "her" eating disorder to talk sh!t about how to run & market the company. sis.. i have eating disorder myself but reading "eat guilt free" over a sugar free product is to much for me. its NOT that deep

It's not sarcastic or anything. This is a dig at diet culture. Demi knows almost more than anyone about diet culture as in her new album she details in one of the songs melon cake about not even being able to eat birthday cake on her birthday which TW spiked eating disorders. Diet culture inflicts people into the idea that certain foods are just wrong, especially to woman. Cookies are one of these foods. Y'all need to grow up if you have a problem with this. Calling this situation "very Demi Lovato". Clearly you all aren't famous because none of you understand what she has had to go though and many other artists do.

You sound as smart as Demi :mark:

There are people who NEED sugar free cookies.

She's not well liked anywhere because she has a terrible personality and unlikable. She's a Karen.

Demi has a lot of issues, and sadly she comes as a spoiled brat and a bully because she hasn't learned how to express her point of view without hurting other people. I mean, why did she have to make this public and post it on IG? If she had a problem, she could have made a private complain in the first place, and that's way more mature than "exposing" the store.

I don't care either way about her honestly but it seems like every time her name pops up, it's like she's begging to be the victim of some offensive action that, nine times out of ten, has absolutely nothing to do with her.

There are also people who just don't want to consume too much sugar

Demi would probably be offended by the fact that I switched to zero sugar soda and started eating more vegetables last year :billie: I'm diet shaming her by making my own dietary decisions just like this frozen yogurt place just brutally attacked her by...selling sugar free cookies :huntyga:

You're stinky

This goes beyond stan forums and stan twitter now. TMZ is reporting it, more locals are in on this and supporting the small businesses in question, calling Demi mean and disturbed for attacking small businesses, during the pandemic too. The store's merch apparently had sold out, purchased by the supporters. Lots in the area where the shops are are getting long queues and such. I really don't know how Demi can come back from this, good luck to her career, or what's left of it, I guess. :bradley:

Little catch up.

I made that comment to attack those who were insensitive to Demi and not to make sugar free cookies illegal, to show that maybe a balance (You are completely right there are people who NEED them) . Then the store responded and said they sold diet foods as there main seller which means it's completely Demi's fault.

Sorry if it was hard to understand, i hope this clarifies it a bit more and you can see it was to defend someone who wasn't there and not to bash people who need sugar free cookies and other dietary products.

Another update

The Bigg Chill tells TMZ ... they are really hurt by Demi's comments, because for 36 years the small, woman-owned business has catered to anyone who's come through the door.

TBC says they've always tried to have something for everyone, whether they are diabetic, vegan, gluten-free, or just wanting some dessert ... and they tell us there's been an outpouring of support since Demi's rant.
