Canon 672
Can somebody pleeeease explain me how to IV breed? i have seen so many videos and even the easy ones are confusing I mean let's say i want a 5 IV Milotic, how do i even start? lol Ill try to explain IV's as simple as possible: Ok so Every pokemon that exists in the game have 6 (hidden) IVs, 1 for each stat (1 HP, 1 Attack, 1 Defense, 1 Special Attack, 1 Special Defense and 1 Speed = 6 stats) These are NOT the base stats you see in the Summary page of your party, thats completely different. Each of those Stats can have a value from 0-31 (0 being absolutely terrible, and 31 being Perfect! [You REALLY want to have as many 31 valued IV's as possible on said pokemon]) To check what pokemon has for IV's, go to the Pkmn Center in Kiloude city and talk to the guy in the top left corner (he looks rich) IF he states that the stats he listed "Can not be beat!", those stats have a value of 31. ---- I'll make another example using a pokemon: "I want a Banette with the HIGHEST Possible Attack stat it can legitimately get" Step 1:Get a Banette (or shuppet) w/ a Nature that will increase it's attack (Lonely, Brave, Adamant, or Naughty) **MEGA HINT!** Pokemon caught in the Friend Safari will ALWAYS have 2 PERFECT(31) but random IVs Step 2: Check the IV's As previously listed, Kiloude City Pkmn Center, talk to rich guy. The stats he lists as "Cannot be beaten" = Your perfect IVs CHECK:-----> Were those IVs the ones you want? (In this case Attack stat) Yes? Congrats. No? Goto step 1. Canon 672
Double post But this'll cover IV Breeding. I'll also use the Banette example above IV Breeding Example: Shuppets caught in Friends Safari: (Means pokemon will always have 2 Perfect IV's, use IV checker in Kiloude City) Shuppet F: Gender: Female Nature: Adamant Perfect IV's: Speed and HP Shuppet M: Gender: Male Nature: Jolly Perfect IV's: Attack and Defense ***ITEMS YOU NEED*** Everstone Destiny Knot Step 1) Since we want ALL of our Shuppet's babies to have the Adamant nature GIVE THE MOTHER (the one with the Adamant nature) the EVERSTONE. This will give the babies a 100% chance of getting the Mothers nature. (If the father had the adamant nature, give him the everstone) Step 2) Give the other parent the Destiny Knot. This will randomly give the babies 5 of the parents IV's (its random) [This is where it gets tedious] Step 3) Breed like CRAZY Step 4) Once your eggs have hatch, Check all the IV's of all the babies. Ill make an example list of 5 eggs below: ------ Shuppet Baby 1: Gender: Male Nature: Adamant Perfect IV's: Attack Shuppet Baby 2: Gender: Female Nature: Adamant Perfect IV's: HP and Attack Shuppet Baby 3: Gender: Male Nature: Adamant Perfect IV's: HP, Attack and Speed <------ Ding Ding Ding Winner! 3 Perfect IV's! Shuppet Baby 4: Gender: Male Nature: Adamant Perfect IV's: Speed Shuppet Baby 5: Gender: Female Nature: Adamant Perfect IV's: Attack and Defense ----- So Baby 3 had 3 Perfect IV's. Since its Male REPLACE the current Father in the Daycare with this baby. Keep swapping out fathers/mothers untill you breed and hatch a Shuppet with,in this case, 4 IV's HP, Attack, Defense and Speed.

Canon 672
And what can i do to get 5 perfect IV's? Thanks for explaining it! ****, i'm too lazy to do all of this I'll have to try it once at least.... Just remember its all completely random when IV breeding eggs. Sometimes you'll only have to hatch 10 eggs to get the baby you're going to replace with. Sometimes it take 100+ eggs. Its all random!
Jaqe 37
To sum up: Start with catching 2 pokes with 2 different stats maxed in Safari. Then breed them with Destiny Knot and Everstone. And hope that they produce baby with 4 stats maxed. When you get that 4 IV baby, you can switch it with one parent to make it quicker. Or just stop at 4.
