Gosh... if this really does become Heard VS Depp it's gonna be terrible. That whole situation was really damaging for a lot of progressive movements and I know a lot of victims that felt severely hurt by how Amber got treated. We CANNOT let history repeat itself with this again.

She exposed his smear campaign against her while acting like she wasn't simultaneously running a smear campaign against him (which is something he says in this complaint)

It sounds like both are only really saying the bits that make them look good so nobody is really describing what accurately happened

this right here is absolutely the perfect summary of the entire situation imo. my personal belief is that they just really disliked each other and things escalated from there. doesn't seem like there is a clear 'not shady' person in this fight.

why are we automatically assuming he is guilty? it's probably a good idea to wait until all the information is available before passing judgement. there will likely be weeks of 'bombshell revelations' in this case, starting with baldoni's countersuit of lively, followed by lively's countersuit to baldoni's countersuit ... there is still so much more that is unknown to everyone until we can actually say we have all the facts (which we likely will never have in their entirety anyways since 90% of this is a "he said she said" dispute).

I don't disagree with this entirely. My main concern comes from what happened back in 2022 with Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. I don't want this to become another case like that.

i get that... but even in that case it was such a mess because there had to be one guilty party legally (what if both parties are guilty? ). like they seemed to both be people who partied too hard and abused each other because of it. the only difference is one was richer, more powerful and older than the other really, but ultimately both had recorded instances of attacking each other if i remember well...

those videos of her being a bitch were real and available. they simply exposed that shes not a nice person 

the harrasment part is the concerning issue for me 

but idk i just feel like i wanna root for either of them

did you read the full complaint by baldoni? it's attached at the bottom of the variety article and offers a counter-narrative in which baldoni was allegedly harrassed and bullied by blake, with alleged text screenshots that blake invited him into her trailer while breastfeeding before claiming he did so 'without consent', and referred to her own wardrobe as 'sexy' before accusing him of describing her wardrobe as 'sexy'.

it's very much a "he said/she said" fight and it's hard to know which is true because both sides have completely different takes on the events.

i mean from what they've said about eaceh other it sounds like they both suck. you don't need to root for either of them to have a perspective on it. bad things happen to bad people, sometimes there is no good guy

the only thing i'll say here is that lively's allegations are very sensationalist, vague and nondescript. "they entered my trailer without my consent" is a sweeping ambiguous statement that doesn't have any additional context or detail added, allowing audiences to fill in the blanks with their imaginations.

meanwhile, pretty much everything in baldoni's suit is described in painstaking detail, with clear descriptions of events and occurrances. so it's interesting to see how both narratives were crafted.
