Except I didn't say those things that y'all trying to paint me as and you jump into conclusions.

But that is just what y'all did in threads like these anyway, we been knew.

Like, I'm sorry, if y'all think I am anti refugees, I am not. I was just saying refugees deserve a better treatment in countries they fled to. All these countries so far have been very dissapointing with their effort and redering them living in makeshift slums.

Less emotions and more brains, hennies. And if you didn't get it, ask.  Instead of jumping into conclusions. Try it sometime, that will do you well in life in general.

This is a thread about immigration. If you say there’s too much ___, it’s gonna come off as anti immigration/anti refugee in the the given context. If you think they should be treated better, just say that. Worry about “getting more brains” for better summarizing your opinions...

its unsurprising. obviously tough decisions do have to be made that nobody wants to make, but America COULD do more. so this is disappointing

Disappointing. When you make a campaign promise, and it's politically possible (as in: you can get the votes) to get it done, then you are pretty much obliged to fulfil said promise imo.

Says the one who doesn’t know how to properly express themselves :emma: learn how to explain yourself instead of being on the defense. Less emotions and more brains, hunty :ally:

Chile, obviously it will make it worse, what are you even saying?!

Do you ever see those refugees that is now living on Paris's and more European cities streets and back alleys lately? How's life going for them there? Hm??

Most are running from worse conditions, including war, drug gangs and death.

Refugees, just live anyone living in any rich country should be cared for considering how rich those counties are..

Again, letting people in doesn’t make people already poor in America poorer.

Considering there are already too much poor people and homeless people in the country, that number is enough tbh.

Maybe if we put the responsability to fund them on people who have a billion to spare instead of those who have a penny... idk, just a thought for the American sheeps

people think they can just fix the world behind their keyboards and with their reactions :laughga:

And second, it's not Biden, it's Biden's Administration, it's even written in the article, that they reversed his decision, so the title is misleading.

Presidents always seem to take full credit when things go well and full blame when things dont go well.

Just one of many patterns u see of ppl not having an objective or balanced/healthy view on matters. Things have to be kept ib perspective

U can at least criticize Biden with stuff like saying he could of fought harder for this or that or put more emphasis on a bill for certain things... theres always constrictive criticism

But for ppl that always put full blame on him like he has full decision power on his own and just chose not to do it, thats an example of un unfair exageration that is not being kept in proper perspective

But in the US anything politics or politicized is so polarized and biased 1 sided that this doesnt surprise me

But OT... i think all wealthy Countries should be more willing to accept a greater number of refugees that need help than they do. With ageing populations it even makes economic sense too anyway. Were not in an era of explosive population growth anymore, births are below replacement rate, its not like any developed Nation can say they cant accept more because their population is in an unsustainable course. Thats not the case for any wealthy or developed Nation i can think of tbh

UPDATE: Looks like they've reversed course after backlash and outcry over this decision and will be increasing the cap next month.

The White House announced plans to lift a Trump-era cap on refugees after Democrats and activists forcefully denounced a decision to keep admissions at the same level. Biden had previously committed to significantly raising the cap. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said the White House would release a “final, increased” number next month.

Well good for them but they shouldn't have done it in the first place.

Former First Lady of the United States. Now card-carrying member of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/04/16/politics/biden-refugee-cap/index.html

"(CNN)The White House said Friday President Joe Biden will set a new, increased refugee cap next month after facing a barrage of criticism when officials confirmed to CNN and other outlets that it would remain at the historically low level set by former President Donald Trump."

So this thread can be locked. I already thought this should be politically possible (maybe even by executive order, otherwise perhaps with support from senators like Mitt Romney) so I was disappointed. But now Biden turns around and does the good thing anyways :applause:
