“18 & over” pandemic horror film: Ashley benson, Sky Ferreira, Paris Hilton

Ashley Benson will produce and star in 18 & Over, a pandemic-inspired slasher movie that she co-created with Jimmy Giannopolous and Diomedes Raul Bermudez. Also starring in the film are Jon Foster, Jake Weary, Sky Ferreira, Luis Guzman, Winnie Harlow, G Eazy, Duke Nicholson, A$AP Nast, John Robinson, Paris Hilton, and Pamela Anderson.

Plot details are scare other than it takes place when quarantine leads to a night of terror. G Eazy composed the film’s score, marking the No Limit artist’s first-ever film score.

“After deciding to shoot this film in the middle of the pandemic, we wanted to make something that would be fun but still a terrifying slasher for audiences during these tough times,” said Giannopolous. “A film relevant to today’s issues of a global pandemic, reality shows, isolation, Only Fans, and obsession.”

I can't see how they'll use the backdrop of a global pandemic sensitively AND sensibly, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. If I were in the process of being hunted by a serial killer, social distancing, lockdown etc, would go out the window.

Who will wanna watch a movie about our current pandemic? Who will be entertained by it? Who will love it? 

How did Ashley Benson have the idea to make a movie inspired by the pandemic but to make it "fun"? How can it be fun? Why do you think it's fun? Is it even possible to make it fun?

My answer: would it be fun if there was no pandemic? Sure 

In this current time I truly believe that making a movie about a pandemic is like making a "fun" movie about war in Syria, saying that syrians will enjoy it, they'll love it and be entertained by it
