Alice Vs. This is Your Night

Alice is one of my favorite, and in my opinion one of the best songs on Chromartica, if not the best.  I feel like it has that classic 90's sound.  For anyone who doesn't know Amber, she was a huge icon in the 90's, especially in the gay scene.  One of her most popular songs is This is Your Night. I'm saying this because I feel like Gaga may have possible sampled this song in Alice.  Not sure if anyone hears the similarity, or if it's just my ears going crazy.  Either way, I feel like a mashup between both songs would works so well and would sound amazing.

If you listen to 0:33, the music reminds me a bit of Alice around 1:20 when she starts singing "take me home" but a little more slowed down.

I linked both videos for everyone's convince.  Take a listen at those timestamps and let me know what you guys think!!

Eurohouse/Europop/Eurodance genres conquered markets around mid 90s in... well, Europe whereas hip hop/rnb became prominent in US. All songs around that time were sonically alike. It's clear that Gaga wanted to go to this direction (Free Woman demo, Rain on me demo) and Alice is quite nostalgic and reminiscent of those tunes.

Love, love, love the comparison you drew to Amber's track and Alice and I really wish the final versions would keep this nostalgic feel. Legendary!

‘Alice’ also has some melodic similarities to ‘Waiting for tonight’ by JLo

I think it's pretty obvious they were inspired by it but so were many 90's euro dance songs. I can totally hear Alice in this one. This is what I love about Chromatica, takes you right there to that sound, it's incredible.

It totally sounds like it! I’d love to hear a mash up.

One of my favorite Chromatica tracks is Free Woman (the demo is my absolute favorite) and it lowkey reminds me of this bop:

I’d love LG7 to be similar music influences. Maybe a little more freestyle a la “Love Angel Music Baby.”
