Republicans in my state largely don't care about this issue and haven't for a while. Our Governor appears at Log Cabin Republican events frequently

I commute between Alabama and Mississippi, and Republicans here still openly hate anyone or anything to do with the LGBTQ+ community, so progress is progress, but we've still got a LONG way to go. 

Also, just to note, this week marks the 3rd anniversary of our town's first gay pride parade, the very first one ever held in Mississippi!
