GAGAVENUS 591
I think Interscope is very good with her but having her on Columbia eventually would be really amazing because they are consistently on top of their **** and good at promoting legacy artists
Ricardo 7,809
I don't know, I have this feeling the lack of promo has nothing to do with the label but rather Gaga herself
Harry Kat 10,022
To all of you expecting Gaga to promote the way she promoted The Fame (Monster) and BTW, even with a new label, well , good luck expecting that Different years, different career stage! She had to promote hard because she was a new artist! And even tho ARTPOP was a mess, it still had a significant promotion in US/UK and Japan! Excluding ASIB, which didn't need promo because of the movie, Joanne and C2C had also great promo! Joanne especially had great promotional slots! Chromatica was her first non event era promo wise but we know what happened before and after the release! I'm fine with Interscope! They managed to keep Gaga on top of the charts and not having a real flop era (Something like Smile or Liberation or Britney Jean etc.) If she wanted to leave Interscope, I'm sure that she had the opportunity to do it a few years ago! But she seems happy with them! Guys, her next album will be her 8th (including ASIB) or 9th if we consider The Fame/ The Fame Monster as different albums! I don't think that at this stage of her career, she needs HUGE promo! I mean look at Beyonce or Taylor! They only promote in big awards shows! Even if she leaves Interscope I don't think that we will see her going really hard with promotion!
chromaticarth 74
New Gaga Atitude Interscope let her stop the era when she wanted to and do nothing. I know we like to blame others but...
LastNight 5,935
From what I recall, what was uncovered of her new deal from the data leak showed she’s very much in control of the promotion of her work nowadays? She even said on her last Zane interview that she wasn’t really planning on promoting with the pandemic (although we know originally they had an extensive plan in place). It’s just really unfortunate that what seems like was going to be really intense and well-rounded promo was upturned; it stings a little more knowing that it’s happened to her in the past and that this time was supposed to be different. Out of everyone’s control though! I do wonder if part of the new freedom she has comes with reduced financial backing from the label? She’s always been very savvy with business deals but she does have a lot of brand sponsorships, and I’m guessing Apple covered the cost of the SL video and LG the cost of 911? I don’t know, but it would explain things. Out of all the eras ASIB is the one that confuses me the most: there really wasn’t any good reason to not push a couple more singles considering it wouldn’t require her to lift a finger in terms of promo. Although the soundtrack was wildly successful anyway and the songs are huge, even if they didn’t achieve chart success...so maybe it just wasn’t worth it to them. I like Interscope, she seems to have a good relationship with them. Same with Bobby and her management; they’re clearly very supportive of her and her choices - more than you could ask for really. n1kos 5,119
My objection is about the singles not about the lack of promo... Rihanna, Taylor, Katy, Beyonce and all these big names release at least 3-4 singles or care their albums with videos as Bey does! Gaga is the only artist that her eras have only 2 singles! So, i don't know if this is only Gaga's problem or her label's... Rom is a huge example, they strongly failed to make it a radio hit! I will fly on a challenger across the sky like a phoenix.. Bradley 59,023
sis Interscope and Bobby said they had the biggest album rollout planned ever for an album the lack of promo you saw is Gaga's own choice, not Interscope's.

If we want more singles/promo for the albums, new management is what you should advocate for Actually at a certain point the managers job is to do what the client wants not what the fans think the client wants. Im not saying its black and white where you only get overworked like with Troy vs what we have now.. but at a certain point you all have to accept that Gaga herself does not want to do these things. It is not Bobby holding her back from doing more things. If what you want is someone who makes her do more things (not saying that you do) it ends up with the burnout we got in the ARTPOP era. if what you want is more performances more fan interaction and more music that you like you can always find that in other people. i for one want gaga to be the things you all want but i also want her to be happy. And to do the things she wants to do. We are feeling the growing pains right now but some fans really really need to let go of their expectations for her. They arent hers, they’re yours. JJ Moonwlker 47
I always thought she should leave Interscope and go to Republic Records. I mean look at Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Drake.

Although, i think that it's time to change music label... I'm not satisfied at all since ARTPOP era ... I'm sure that it's not only Gaga's fault that her eras come to an end so fast, with only 2 singles! It's unbelievable that we have only 2 singles for each album since 2013!! How many songs had the potential to become hits and her label let them die? I'm taking as example her last huge era (Asib), the sales and the streams were incredible but her label preferred not to release second and third single... For instance i'm sure that Dua's label would release ARUTW and IWNLA for sure! They were two songs ready to "hit" the radios but her label ignored them! And the last example, ROM... A hit that they hadn't the ability to keep it alive on radios!!! I feel that another label could give her the chance to control her albums better, with more programming, more videos, 4 singles etc... What do you think? Singles cost money, and they're usually tested pretty extensively before release to see if it's worth the investment. Not to mention, you need a willing artist to promote the material. Gaga is aging out of the range where major labels are happy to pour tons and tons into an album campaign, which is probably why they were planning on going all out with Chromatica, because, realistically, she won't be in the position she was in post-ASIB when she releases a new project. Radio wasn't very quick to jump on songs like "Million Reasons" or "The Cure" or even "Shallow" despite the massive numbers on streaming for this reason. They claimed the songs just didn't fit the trends, even though the audiences were clearly responsive and requesting. It's not Interscope's fault for not wanting to waste money or Gaga's for aging. It's a business at the end of the day, and unfortunately it's not fair to women, especially once you're over 30. Those resources are being given to younger artists because the industry can guarantee they'll get more out of them. These things are unlikely to change with another record label: everyone from P!nk, Katy, Madonna, and Mariah Carey have spoken about ageism and being told by executives that they're too old for airplay/streaming placement or being marketed in other ways. It's just the way it is.
Chromatica Island 8,517
Chromatica is getting radio plays, I heard Alice and ROM in the mall the other day, so it's getting air time, I think she should change labels if she feels like she wants too, we shouldn't force her to, but that's just my opinion.
