ok firstly it should be the parent's responsibility to look out for what their children are watching. the grammy's shouldn't be held accountable for the actions of lazy parents not keeping an eye on what their child is doing or watching. why would a young child be watching the Grammys, for starters?

Regardless if children are watching or not, that performance was far too raunchy for an awards show of the Grammy's caliber. It could've worked just about anywhere else but just not at the Grammys. I'm really surprised they allowed it, I thought they always prided themselves on displaying family-friendly content for the most part. I mean, considering WAP wasn't nominated for a Grammy, even if it was never submitted, is a sign that everyone who was involved knew it wasn't Grammy material in song, video or performance content. So why is it suddenly being allowed? And to anyone saying parents are responsible for what their children watch - you are aware they can watch stuff that doesn't have age restrictions on? And that they could go to a friend's house and watch it there? Or even see it on a classmate's phone at school? There's inappropriate content everywhere that can be accessed from any device and can be overseen anywhere, this is why parents get so annoyed because no matter how hard you try these days, society has made it impossible to shield your children from inappropriate content unless you literally lock them in a room with no phone, tv or internet access. The concept of "it's up to parents to control what their kids watch" isn't possible in reality.

Get over it.  Turn the TV off, or watch something that is “child friendly.” Nobody is forced to watch anything they don’t want to.

I see too many angles to this. 

On the one hand, the song is definitely absurd, fun, terrible, catchy, etc.  On the other hand, society is already hyper-sexualized under the guise of "sex positivity" or liberation and sex sells under capitalism.  I can somewhat see the parents' perspective, here.  But it is their job to raise their children and "protect" them however they see fit.  And it is such a disservice to kids to pretend they don't know what this stuff is or to pretend that it doesn't exist.  FFS, my friends were calling my mom a MILF back in 4th grade.   Let's meet kids where they are at -- and be honest with them!

Overall, we need what feminist activist Gloria Steinem proposed -- eradicate ****ography and proliferate, instead, erotica.

That performance wasn't even good. If you are going to be raunchy, at least be talented with it. Heavy lipsyncing, stiff dancing, bad choreography. 

Meghan's performance by herself was so much better and she looked really beautiful. The tap dancers were a nice addition as well.
