Sorry but actors don't usually meet with convicted criminals, especially those who hired hitman or murdered someone by themselves, to have a nice chat about their life and how the actors gonna portray them... This whole Patrizia person is a gold-digger who shouldn't join the Gucci family.

I don’t blame Gaga for not meeting w/ her. Honestly might not be safe.

Has anyone considered... Patrizia, a woman w/ a history of hiring people to do crimes for her gets pissed off about a movie & then *coincidentally* anonymous criminals shoot Gaga’s friend & steal her dogs right as she is about to film the movie.

The whole thing seems sus to me...

I’m sort of 50-50 on this one. In one sense, given the circumstances around the situation I can understand the difficulties in Gaga having a conversation that is anything other than biased with her. But at the same time, a conversation about her early life etc (separated from the accusations) could not only help Gaga’s portrayal but also then at least looks like they respected the usual process of going about portraying someone who is still alive.

call me crazy, but I have thought about that too... like what does that woman have to loose now... she even stayed longer in prison because she didn't want to work.. ( I read that somewhere)

Anyway Italian 's media caught up with the story and they all side with Gaga and Ridley, saying that Patrizia is an egomaniac criminal who shouldn't even be considered and that the movie isn't a documentary but a fictional retelling of the Gucci situation

Of course, it's just little managers thinking they know what Gaga should do to act in this movie. Le cringe.

OFF topic: I love the frenzy Gaga has created with this movie, the Italian press in particular is all over it.

She has a point, Gaga should have been more professional and meet to deliver a more accurate performance.

Gaga e benvenuta in Italia.

But they're generally also raising legal rights questions, following Patrizia affirmation that she doesn't want her story displayed in a movie. She has concerns about her two daughters. Possible feud ?:grr:

EDIT : Dismal. :omg: :wtf: :nails: :emma:

IF I was casted to play the role of a living person of course I would like to meet that person, maybe the optical view of Patrizia is biased but of course the guy who wrote the script about other people he doesn’t know is also biased and not true, so why it would be wrong for Gaga to meet Patrizia and hear her side of the story? Maybe she can see the motives behind and it would be really enlightening! Of course Patrizia is a murdered but she did pay for her crime and that’s why she is free now. Also everyone even the worst of the people deserve a chance in life.

She is a free woman now who lives in Italy without hiding, and many more convicted criminals live among us too,  she is not the only one. Also yes Patrizia is a gold digger and a criminal but if she wasn’t who she is and didn’t do what she did this movie would have never been made and Gaga wouldn’t have that role, the publicity of it and the possible awards she could win from that role, sooo maybe we should be thankful to Patrizia for existing  :ohwell:

Maybe Gaga didn't meet the person out of respect of the director's vision. If Ridley really wanted it, she would have advised Gaga to meet her way before the filming began.

Still, it's up to Gaga's choice. It may be ideal to do it because (in my opinion) we find it easy 'cause we're not the one doing it. But if I were in Gaga's shoes, I'll find it really disturbing and inappropriate to ask the person about her experiences surrounding the murder case that happened in REAL LIFE. I mean, do you really want Gaga to embody Patrizia's murderous intent at the time just to be accurate in acting? We as fans may be entertained but how about her?

Besides, the husband is already dead. How do we know for sure if what's true and what's not?

Since Adam doesn't have an inspiration to talk with (Maurizio is already dead), it would make sense for Gaga not to ask advice to Patrizia to make both of their acting neutral.    IMO, it's better to  stick on the book/director's POV.
