julz 6,963 Posted March 11, 2021 Share Posted March 11, 2021 Japan has a special place in her heart  i still remember this day when Japan had this great earthquake and tsunami, i was hearing the news from a taxi radio coming from a job interview. Then few days after, our idol started doing good, and have this Pray for Japan ballers with her iconic Paws Up sign for fundraising. It was truly a devastating event, caught on multimedia, and reminded us of how powerful the Earth is. Gaga did good and the fact that she did a video in advance, is really something. I am willing to bet she is holding out to see what vaccinations and things are like once filming month is done and then we will see how she proceeds with the era and potentially closing it out then. I think the tour they are still wanting to happen and thats why they are waiting to see if it can be done safely and if its viable. I feel like the record store day and standard black vinyl being released in the summer are other indicators of this as well. But when she released the tour dates there was clearly no intention of visiting Japan or Asia or anywhere outside of America with the exception of London or Paris. So idk if she is planning on it. The scale of the Chromatica ball feels like it was intentionally left smaller so they could add dates later according to how she was physically doing. I get the feeling that after Rio and the cancellation of JWT they have to be more thoughtful on how they plan the tour. You have to plan in advance, have everyone signed to contracts, get in touch with the venue etc. It would make more sense to do what she did with enigma and leave months between legs so she can take breaks but everyone still has a schedule. AND actually to your point about the time in between legs - that is how to would work as well. For example even The Monster Ball was constantly being extended and having dates added. There's also a lot of artists who will do a leg of a tour in one country see how it goes before committing to further legs and a world tour. With other artists you will often see things like NA and European dates and then extensions in the form of Asia and Aus legs a few months out. So for example with The Chromatica Ball could be planned  Leg 1 North America and Europe July-Aug Leg 2 Australia and New Zealand January-Feb Leg 3 Asia May-June Leg 4 South America October-November  and all of these could see small numbers of dates with additional shows added depending on demand and her current condition and how the tour is hitting her. It's just too small and doesn't draw big enough crowds for them to make the huge trip  and if they do come here, which I doubt, they'll do what a lot of big shows do and not bring half the stage and props I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
