Some days it feels like the only priority was getting Trump and Pence out. Taking them out and not doing the work to keep them out. Already hearing predictions that Dems need a miracle to keep power... hopefully the bill changes that but everyday it seems more and more likely. This really isn’t Biden’s fault — one Dem senator could kill the amendment and there’s as many as 8 of them who would. This framing is faulty. The Senate Parliamentarian was never an obstacle. Just ask previous VPs Walter Mondale and Hubert Humphries. It’s not shoving anything anywhere. Also notice how it was 2 senators before who were giving trouble and now it’s 8. If Kamala overruled the SP, the urgency will simmer down opposition back to a manageable 2. and no, it’s not all Biden’s fault. I just cant tell if he’s even trynna fight. He didn’t even bring up the wage in his Manchin meeting apparently. Why did no one find it strange he gave up on the wage weeks ago with no reason whatsoever as if he’s not the president with a ton of political power? Gagaloo911 12,959
Tbh Dems deserve to lose, although that screws over Americans in the end with Republicans in power, but the Democratic party continually screws over the American people everyday anyway when they sellout and break their promises left and right. If only them losing didn't mean fascism winning.. They deserve what's coming to them for being weak, spineless cowards, i only wish that didn't mean democracy loses out as a result. This really sucks. We need a new system since the Democratic Party is not showing any signs of changing or being a strong party that ACTUALLY fights for working people. thefamebitch 834
If anyone thinks that somehow the senate is going to come up with 60 votes to pass this bill outside of the budget reconciliation process, you are severely uneducated about our political reality and need to check yourself. This issue is dead on arrival from now on thanks to the lovely democrats including my worthless idiot senator. We will never obtain 60 votes to pass this with the current senate makeup (oh and 2022 midterms are putting dems at a disadvantage right out the gate). You do not know what you are talking about if you continue to think this has a chance.

Raising the wage can wait until the virus is under control. I agree and so many businesses are short on giving hours to begin with an increase right now would just cut hours more resulting in making the same or even less paycheck for employees

Lion Heart 15,041
Also why doesn't Biden/ Harris put pressure on these Democrats the way Trump threatened to fund and promote the primary opponents of those who went against him? Oh wait... ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

Good luck booking those 60 votes yall speak of Oh shut up. Like Bernie would have a shot getting any of his promises through. Go away with your exceedingly irritating fake outrage. Even Trump couldn't get his promises through with a republican senate and congress. But unlike Republicans who blame democrats for that, you have this ultra foolish left faction that blames their own party. Like cannibals. MessyTop 14,389
Misleading title. Is dead in the current bill. It doesn’t meant the fight is over. Democrats will keep trying.
